Giving items to beggars is like rewarding your dog for shatting on the rug.. the beggar has a phone/device and wifi but you believe he is poor and needs a handout.. smh

The gesture beggar gets is "wow I can get free stuff/reward for nothing at all, I will keep asking until It doesn't work and find someone else"

Teach them how to make gold themselves since your intentions seems good.

Maybe not give them things but help them, dont reward them for begging

A gift of knowledge is worth its weight in gold

ik what you mean, but tbh i achieved so much already in AL and tbh the thing that keeps me playing most is that i can help/make the day of someone better if i give some items away. But i can tell that lately more and more players are not even grateful when you gift them smth, i remember back in my days when someone gifted me anything or i gifted someone smth they where nearly 90% rly grateful, maybe they didnt mean it so but at least you got a thank you instead of “more”.

best regards,

I used to be the same because when I started playing AL in the days of yore, people helped me out even though I didn't ask. I stopped giving so much recently because I realized genuine players don't beg. They may ask for help with maps and advice which I always give but the gold and vanity giving has stopped until I really get to know someone. I read on here that someone deletes stuff worth less than 10k??? That's a waste in my opinion. If someone can make use of items you are going to delete, why not donate?

I think having a generous nature is to be admired...it's a shame that some people have abused your kindness. It's also a shame that some of the comments on here are so dismissive.

You're welcome and you're not a nab. I hate that word. Just be wary because some people will take advantage of your good nature like they did with me. Some people..I know who they are now..are very rich in-game but use alts to beg. Some even post on forums telling us all just how much they hate beggars and how they wouldn't give to people who beg, while they are doing it. Take care and carry on being kind. Pay no mind to the negative players and enjoy.

Kind regards. Susie. 🙂

The thing that gets on my nerve would be that guy who sells an item 5x its normal value and when you decline the price the dude starts spamming you with pms saying your a noob, idiot, retard, and some other words.

My current response to beggars is:

No you don't. You just made a ton of gold from selling free stuff in Halloween event. You just got free vanities. Run the current event to get even more gold.

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a beggar who is running the current event or ran the Halloween event. Oh well. I can hope!
