how can i be more of a effective merchant?

I need a person who knows the ins and outs and strategy about merching (If that's the right choice of words lol) do you make most of creds from selling greens? How many auction house slots should i buy?

All I know is that you should do the premium package to get 10 slots which is a great amount.

Id search for items of the same thing (I.e. blade tech helm, then see if one is under priced and buy then resell)

If you have loads, try merchant vanities or pink guns.

If you can buy loads of auction slots, don't. Like it was said above, buy a premium character. It'll be a total of 35 plat, extra character slot+the premium package.

Don't wait til lvl cap comes, remember what happened to the slouch-o pinks? Same thing will happen to the pistols if you don't sell.

I sell almost everything I put into auction, being greens,whites,oranges, etc. I would be happy to teach you a thing or two.

Well I say you should farm do some runs and after you find out what you want to sell (armor only,weapons only,crafting items only, end game only,etc.) then you should go and put the rest of the good stuff in auction, sell them, or sell to people, then you should only keep the best of whatever you sell (rare, epic,etc.) and go sell them for a good price or buy from someone else at a low price and resell but I personally hate doing this I just dont like BUT I dont care if you do it just sell, sell, sell

In short though, take the time to learn the pricing trends of certain groups of items. These should help.

Good point, well its a gamble. I'd way a 75% chance of you selling it really cheap after cap, 20% chance of you selling it near the price it is atm, 3% chance of you selling it for a lil more, and 2% of the price skyrocketing.

Hey sweety, I personally made dough selling stuff using only one slot in AC and putting my items up for 3 days (not any lower). Its good to keep it at a medium range price (i.e. not too low and not to high). To do so, you'll have to watch the AC for the item(s) you are selling in order to get the price range. Then check it a couple times a day. Regardless, you will be cut in price but keeping it up there for a few days helps.

Street merching has gotten huge in SL. There is one trick, stick to your guns! It's a personality trait, either you got it or you don't. Merching CS is okay... if your fine paying huge rent prices and waiting to just be undercut. Take your items to the street, sell em, someone trys getting a lower price, you stick with your price, guarantee you will get someone who folds and pays full price.
