They are back. They were originally found in Windmoore on 11/10. Then moved to Outpost. One migrated to Glintstone.

Honestly, I don't think people are able to read what they are saying.

Yeah, if they are not dealt with as soon as possible, they really do breed very fast. It does not take them too long to take over the world, as they did over the holidays one year.

It seems to me that this is their plan this year as well. They were thwarted for a year or two, so are/is probably brimming with frustration as he/it cannot face its own inadequacies.

These people are cockroaches. They can survive a nuclear war!

Shame on them, leaching off of innocent players. It is like are stealing candies from babies. I feel bad for the new players.

I think you should work on In-game report system.
I know, from personal experience, that it's just too bothersome to go to your email everytime you want to report a player.
There would be many more reports if this was implemented.

You can type /report <name> <scam, phisher>

Though yes, it does seem a bit limited. Plus I always think that at the same time you did your 1 report, there are 9999 reports that someone said "I hate you" in the game or "They tried to sell me egg for 1000 when I KNOW that egg is only worth 990!"

I am sure everyone does what they can.

Do the best you can, report in game and report here.

What about the "My dad works for (gaming company) and will ban you unless you give me gold" ones?

---

On another note, I think a way to further minimize these "roaches" would be to take notes from how another game developer combats them.
i.e. players cannot access map chat until they've bought the game.
Or in AL's case, it could be "players cannot talk in map chat until they've finished Achievements: X, Y, Z".
Or if Achievement points exist (I don't remember) , at least X amount of points needed to talk in map chat.

lol i can read what it says, its a sort of code language
its saying go to "mmoko.com" and it says sell cheap gold 5 million for 1 dollar irl. i was curious about this, so i went to this website and its a scam within a scam. its actually $5.90 USD for 1 million lmao. so first they phish in game, and then their rate of buying gold for irl money is a scam too hahaha. ps i didnt buy gold off that website, as im not that stupid xD

No, phishing is not getting people to go to their site. Phishing is getting people to go to their site, convincing players the site is official or sanctioned or otherwise trustworthy, and getting people to enter their logins and passwords, thus compromising the players' accounts.

And since doing something outside the developer using real life money is a bannable offense, not to mention these people are not related to the developers in any way, means there really is no remedy once someone's account is compromised.

They may also be doing a real money scam where they also skim people's credit information.

Bad in all ways. All it means is if someone is trying to sell you something from a dark alley (hiding their message in code, for example), it is probably best to head somewhere with lots of light to buy your items. Unless, of course, you are particularly attracted to muggings.
