For the past 4 deaths, 3 were caused by lag spikes. I'm aware that it could happen anytime, so during a sudden spike, I quit menu to save myself.
Well it works sometimes, but something is bugging me off, which is the fact that I still die even if I'm at the Quit Menu UI, like as if I was still taking damage from the mobs even if I was out of the zone.
Kt4 there I was, surrounded by 3 skeletons, still at 80% hp when the spike occured, I react quick as soon as I saw the sudden spike, was about a second reaction for me to press click avatar to press Quit Menu. At the UI, I notice that I was still getting damaged as I could still see the red warnings around the screen at the Quit Menus interface. It doesn't make sense, unless it was latency, such that my character was still in the zone even though I was already in the Quit Menus page.
So I wanted to give an idea of implementing an Auto Quit Menu, that when it detects a lag spike or the calibration you have made, it will gurantee that you wouldn't die due to ping, which is an unfair way to die in HC. More on the calibration, a setting where you could set up the Max ping. Example you set the setting to Ping :1000, so this will ensure that if your ping ever reaches to 1000, it would automatically boot you from the zone to the Quit Menu UI.
This should be an option for players if they would like to use it to be more safe or not. It can be toggled in the settings. I thought about this because not only as its the majority of the reasons I die (also for some), but also because dying due to ping is an unfair way to reset your Char from scratch.
May you rest in peace, Sixthattempt is coming your way.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181204/9c6401b7360d00a487b9f613cf7f5b73.jpg
