I understand that Devs still apply HC rules in event zones, it is because of the rewards in the zones. Perhaps just right after event, we would have already looted overpowered Pets and gears, and that would further progress our HC toon to cap easily.
So how about a bane item, like atleast make the zone easier. Or a really insane bane item that you can resurrect all you want in the zone, this will cost alot of plat though.
Problems are after the event, surely P2W players would have looted alot and lb only consisting of plat players by then. Because the only Hardcore im seeing here is competing with P2W players, not hating on them, but rather how HC is able to purchase things that affect gameplay.
