View Full Version : Suggestions for twinking? :D

Im startin to make some twinks for PvP in SL as Sam said its definitely coming soon. Ive made a level ten one, im not sure whether thats the right level to lock at

I got screenies or skill and attribute levels, so please advise me on how to make em better! :D

My opinion :
Don't make an alt for pvp yet. Wait for pvp to come out and see how it will be.
Know one really knows how it's going to be.

Okay, Im in a big rush to have at least one cap, and at lest 3 other twinks so i have a headstart when the glorious, amazing, fantastic PvP comes out <3

Agreed, Sam also other STS members have mentioned that SL is not going to be how PL was, due to the unfairness issues. Like previously mentioned even double builds, so im with Ardon, im going to wait before doind to much with my PvP twinks.

Hehe, thats all we tried to get across, totally up to you if you want to make a char at each Twink level (collecting items for the twinks), but as far as the skills go I would do what you feel seems right knowing that you may need to change each twink.

If I did make some, i'd lock at the main levels, 1,5,10,15 (keep in mind that these will most likely be just premium char gear, which you need to collect the green weapons and helm),20,25,30,35 etc :p

Also another question, is there any point in getting a premium upgrade when making a new character? Ive been thinking of doing it for a long time, but im not sure it its worth it for 30 of my well earned (bought :P) platinum..

Premium upgrades are 100% worth it if you plan on selling items/farming on the account. The stims help alot in the beginning, the auction slots are worth it alone, and the extra inv spots are nice too.

I would recommend it for one at each class :) but thats just my opinion, I did for each class as you get premium lvl 1,5,10,15 gear this has been proven to last you up to at least level 25+ without needed to get the other gear. (Esp with the 11 auction slots, and extra item slots.

*Please note, if you do plan on Lvl 1 Twinks and looking for best gear, you can not pass the previous Premium gear to that twink as you need to be level 5 to access the stash* (Sounds common sense but you wouldnt imagine how many people have done this then realised and had to pay for another Premium Twink.

Yep still stashable, just watch out for the Lvl1 gear as this is the only one its not going to be possible.

When you play with a premium player you will understand why this makes so much of a difference :)

Still dont understand about the levelone gear...
When u make a new character, it gives you the option on upgrading... If i accept that, will it make a difference to if i upgrade at lvl 3/5?

Premium gear is not TRADeABLE but it is STASHABLE.
Meaning you can put it away for other accounts to use.
HOWEVER, as you cannot access the stash until level 5, your level 1 premium gear is not able to be used by your other accounts.

Say I have a premium operative who's now maxed at 36. I have all of her gear from earlier levels in my stash.
If I make a new Operative, she can wear all that premium gear in the stash, but cannot access the stash until level 5.
As there is a level 5 premium armor and I cannot access the stash until then, this makes the saved level 1 armor useless.

The point was, if you make a new account to twink at level 1, you'd basically NEED to make a new premium account to have a fighting chance.

Low level pvp is probably going to be pretty boring with everyone having the same gear.

I reserve the right to change my opinion pending what possible winter/holiday stuff will be done in SL.

Feeling the same way until after level 15 really, but as you said not to cross off winter/xmas stuff.. though SL Halloween had a mask and vanity, not actual items you could use as such. So may not even effect this..
