View Full Version : Ebon Rifle Proc seems weak?

I was testing this gun both in Pvp and Pve.
First observations, the proc is stronger in Pve. Just like how Samael/Mishi Aura does better in Pve.

The guns proc does small bursts of Damage and hp regen for only 4secs as my observation. Hp proc does 50-55hp per tick regardless, adding up to only 500-650Hp within the duration. In Pve, ticks go for 100-110hp regardless. For the Average, its just 6%~8% hp replenished for a proc in Pvp.

About the Damage proc, having small burst ticking damage made me sad about it. As it gradually deals damage, as suppose to full Impact that has the chance to kill the player right away, as they have no time to recover with the effects of a glow or heal skill AoE.

The ticking Damage Proc varies on Armor. As my tests, it does 40-55Dmg per tick on a warr with 8k armor/15k Hp. It only dealth 3~4% Hp after the proc, which is meh and needs Improvement. Rouges at 6k Armor only does 6~7% Hp which is weak for an Arcane. And if Im not mistaken, the proc is single targetted as I also tried with 2 players and only one got affected.

Suggestions: Instead of multiple bursts of small heals and Dmg, make it a 1 blast proc of Dmg dealth and Hp replenished. I also suggest a buff of Dmg dealth and hp given, around 3~4x the current output will be reasonable for an elusive new Arcane weapon costing 35m.

If only the description isn't Vague. Only claiming "Deals massive amount of Damage", but that decisive Major is a Minor, also nothing said about it doing multiple hits on a single target. Or if the Damage output varies on armor, or has a fixed value just like Creeping rifle. Also Increase the droprates, Daggers getting 99m offers like as if they were lb rewards. Note that Guns and Staffs seem to have the worst proc, even after they fixed the Intended reflected Dmg on Daggers and Aegis, it still did a very good Job.

As I can say about the price of every new arc weapon ... I think the price must be 20-30m only ... its just a suggestion ... 99m+ in arc dagger is exaggerated . Maybe 40m lower is reasonable . Its just the player setting the price ... even if I have a gold of 99m I won't buy it lol haha ...

Ebon sword as I can say haha .. its useless in my opinion .. maybe in PvP its good because of its stats ..
But in pve and PvP for me I believe tb is still worth it and op ...

About arc weap for mage XD .. immo and ffs still good ... ffs 3m only and immo is 10m+ haha .. still op .. hahaha .. .

I am echoing again... arcane gun 71 have only two process "heavy damage" and "heal". spirit weapons have pull including the two I mentioned..
.The heavy damage is weak and does not deal alot *heavy damage to enemies max I see it hit two?

The gun needs a buff.

I think there is a mix up, as per the weapon descriptions HoT and DoT is suppose to be the proc for Bow.
Guns are suppose to deal heavy damage and heal the caster. Just to give you a comparison, Level 66 arcane gun proc has banish and does 2K damage in pve/pvp. If the new weapon procs are inferior to spirit and previous arcane then its not worth it.

Please review and fix it.

You said everything detailed as I was thinking to write in a new thread, but no need you said it all and agree perfectly.
Hope they fix this gun cause this weapon is so weak that we can't think it was intended create a capped arcane weapon so useless..

+1 on a 4x buff of the healing proc..maybe that lasts 8 seconds, a massive area damage (multiple target and that is rly able to decrease hp of warrior and rogues of 10-18%) with longer duration of dot possibly, and not rare as it is right now which is actually inesistent during the time of a duel unless its a mage vs war.
Mage class do not pretend to be op, just to have an opportunity to use a strong new arcane weapon as the other 2 classes :D. Hope will be possible

Now is good moment to STS do something with Mage class. Mage needs a chance to can kill sometimes, right now is useless in PVP.

i have the staff and the proc is very weak imo. also it seems to proc on damage taken which should be changed to damage delt as mages tend to stay back away from the fight.just my thoughts!

Really really really hope sts dont leave these new weps as they are.they could be so much beter.the proc’s look so amazing visually!

The Idea for the proc's Isn't too bad. It's just the strength of the proc that seems bad.

I agree the staff needs to be improved as well and needs to heal more hp when i first got it i was expecting more of a alpha wolf reflect but not the case here would be nice if we could see when it does reflect just like with alpha wolf.

I don't think that the Arcane weapons should utterly destroy the Spirit items (i.e. they shouldn't do the same battery of procs).

I see the proc happening. It doesn't ignore armor... so it can be countered.

i echo again from another thread in the forum :

For Ebon staff since mages uses "freeze" skills in PVE how does mobs reflect the damage if they are freeze i am referring to the numerous number of mobs freezes with Ice bolt or Clock, this make the reflect skill useless i.e maps like swamp and maus.

Suggestion : Whenever a creature hits you with an attack, it takes radiant damage equal to half the damage you take from the attack and gives DOT damage. Reflect simply redirects the attack back to the enemy, allowing you to take less or no damage.

this is as close to what i can find what reflect damage does...

Basicly yea more damage would be needed to face the huge amount of damage rogue has with new daggers.
(Mage can reach max 4k dmg...rogues 4.6k) talking about pure raw stats based not set buff. Not saying that proc is broken or doesnt work, but it is too rare the chance to let it happen and when it does..the swamp shock doesnt affect much rogues and ofc warriors either, a buff damage would be needed also to the proc. Just my opinion..let us know and thanks.

Totally agree. However how could I know that the proc procs' since there isn't any little banner or something. When doing damage in a pack at the boss, it's difficult to know if it procs, because all numbers are superposed, and since I may be at 100% HP I don't see the HoT ticking.

Who else wonders how fast time flies... today ppl talk about 4,6k dmg back at 26 cap 280dmg was op!!
