Can multiple people use the same forums account? Like for different officers updating a guild thread overtime.

If you did, it'd probably be difficult to track (if anyone actually wants to track to begin with).
That said, probably not a good idea to do it, unless you pm a dev/mod(do mods still exist around here? havent seen a green name in months) and they let you do it..

I think he means that there can be an option where you can have multiple people who are allowed to edit the forum post if they are chosen to have the permissions to by the creator.
Example: You make a post and you want to let some friends have access to it to so you would have an option on that post called (Editors), you click it and put the forum name(s) of the individual(s) you allow to have edit permissions. Nothing to do with exchanging accounts / logging onto accounts or any other related actions.
The way its worded does look like its asking to let others use the same account to edit stuff. Like giving the account info to others so they can edit the forum post.

Yes basically this having multiple people able to update it not just the person who made it
