As recent as this morning cottonkill has had an incredible aa that could protect against tremendous damage. This morning that changed and after only one hit the shield his aa created disappears. I noticed this in esg where cotton's shield has always protected me and my allies with considerable prowess. Now, it dissapears only after one hit. I also tried cotton's shield in elite nordr where i know cott's shield should be op, but the results are the same. One hit, and it vanishes. I asked around and it seems there are others noticing this too. Is this a bug or is this what we can expect from cottonkill henceforth?

It should only cancel after absorbing the full amount of damage or timing out. I did find a bug with hitting someone with damage reflection on which would cancel it immediately rather than absorbing the damage, and I'll fix that for the next update.

Can you make this happen while solo? What class are you? What gear and skills are you using?

I tested cotton's shield while i was solo in pve and while i was with allies in pve, and as far as i could tell, in both scenrios the effects were the same. I play a mage, and my skills are heal, gale, lightening and shield.

I can confirm there's something definitely wrong. Just played in deep marsh, Cotton AA used to keep pt safe from green croc's fire thingy, but now it's getting canceled after just 1 hit.

This is fixed for the next update (I couldn't repro before because Heroic CK doesn't have the problem, only normal CK).

Thanks for addressing this so quickly, despite being the weekend.

Thanks for addressing the issue and responding so quickly. Since the update ive tested cotton and although the shield no longer immediately vanishes after a single hit it is weaker now and im still wondering if this is an intentional development.

Something else that is new since the update is a crackling sound that seems to come from the monsters. Ive asked around and from what i can tell its every place where there's monsters. If this is a new development let me be the first to say with all due respect i dont like it much. It sounds so out of place and consistent in every map that i must believe (and hope) its a bug that will be fixed.

The amount the shield absorbs is the same as it always has been.

Since which update? What platform?

I don't recall any audio changes in recent history.

The crackling comes from gale force in cool down phase and it just started happening after the update a couple hours ago. I discovered that it's happening in towns also and other people are hearing it too.

Skills im using: gale force, shield, heal and lightening
Device being used: Samsung Galaxy Tab A
