Hugthulu and Hugthulu Prime have risen again and it's up to you to ensure that the spirit of love stays alive in Arlor.

Energy Portals to Hugthulu's Realm are open in townes all across Arlor. Energy Essences drop from all dungeons across Arlor. You can also craft or purchase energy kits from other players. Excess Crafted Energy and Energy Essence will be removed after the event is over.

Note about the Procs:
Across the 6 weapons there are 2 procs. You can use the crafting interface to switch the proc attached to your weapon
(WARNING: YOU WILL LOSE ANY JEWELS OR AWAKENINGS WHEN YOU DO THIS, DON'T SAY WE DIDN'T TELL YOU)

Proc 1:
On attacking an enemy, you have a chance to spawn a pickup. These pickups last for 5 seconds and can be grabbed by you or your allies. Pickups include:
Healing Pack: Restores 33% of your health
Mana Pack: Restores 55% of your mana
Damage Pack: Adds 20 damage for 5 seconds
Crit Pack: +10% Crit Chance for 5 seconds

If you're wearing the full Tainted Love Set, 2 additional packs can drop
Super Damage Pack: Adds 200 damage for 5 seconds
Super Crit Pack: +100% Crit Chance for 5 seconds


Proc 2:
On attacking an enemy you have a chance to spawn a detrimental pickup. These pickups last for 5 seconds and can only be grabbed by your enemies. Pickups include:
Poison Pack: Deals a moderate amount of armor ignoring damage to the enemy over time.
Damage Down Pack: The enemy only deals 50% damage for 5 seconds.
Armor Down Pack: The enemy only has 50% armor for 5 seconds.
Mana Burn Pack: Removes 20% of the enemies Mana

If you're wearing the full Tainted Love Set, 2 additional packs can drop
Super Poison Pack: Deals a TON of armor ignoring damage to the enemy. This will kill them if they don't heal. It might kill them even if they do heal. Basically don't pick this up, it hurts.
Super Stun Pack: Stuns the enemy for 3 seconds (follows all stun immunity rules in PvP)

ALL VALUES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS NEEDED FOR BALANCE CONCERNS


Set Bonuses:
Endless Love (2/2): +200 health, +200 mana, +15 STR, +15 DEX, +15 INT, +100 armor.
+ If the pet Thog is summoned, he will receive a damage bonus buff!

Tainted Love (3/3): +400 health, +400 mana, +25 STR, +25 DEX, +25 INT, +5.5% Crit Chance, +30 damage, +250 armor, +6% Boss Damage.

The Mighty Merkfin Mask

Now that's a grin anyone could love. This lovable Merkfin mask is only available in the store on Valentine's Day and the final day of the event. The rest of the time it can be found as a rare boss drop off of Hugthulu Prime.

- Event NPC “Remmi Amor” has 3 quests to complete.
- There is a Special Hugthulu Prime quest granted once you reach Gold Tier
- There is a Crafting process for turning Endless Love Set into Tainted Love Set
- Thog and Kissogatha both double strike in the Lovecraft zone, and with the appropriate set (Endless Love for Thog, Tainted Love for Kissogatha) will deal that extra damage in all other zones, including PvP. If you have Kissogatha as the base pet, and as the happiness bonus and are in the Lovecraft Zone or are wearing the Tainted love set the Double Strike will apply. The same is true of Thog and the Endless Love Set
- Candy Letters of all types ONLY drop from the new event zone
- Love Letter can ONLY BE USED by Gold tier or higher players, but can be crafted and sold/traded by anyone

Everything looks great except for the leaderboard banner. Correct me if I am wrong but at some point I remember reading that leaderboard vanites and leaderboard banners would not be released. Please give us a new leaderboard banner design so we have something to run for that looks different from the one we already have.

Note about the Procs:
Across the 6 weapons there are 2 procs. You can use the crafting interface to switch the proc attached to your weapon
(WARNING: YOU WILL LOSE ANY JEWELS OR ENHANCEMENTS WHEN YOU DO THIS, DON'T SAY WE DIDN'T TELL YOU)

Proc 1:
On attacking an enemy, you have a chance to spawn a pickup. These pickups last for 5 seconds and can be grabbed by you or your allies. Pickups include:
Healing Pack: Restores 33% of your health
Mana Pack: Restores 55% of your mana
Damage Pack: Adds 20 damage for 5 seconds
Crit Pack: +10% Crit Chance for 5 seconds

If you're wearing the full Tainted Love Set, 2 additional packs can drop
Super Damage Pack: Adds 200 damage for 5 seconds
Super Crit Pack: +100% Crit Chance for 5 seconds


Proc 2:
On attacking an enemy you have a chance to spawn a detrimental pickup. These pickups last for 5 seconds and can only be grabbed by your enemies. Pickups include:
Poison Pack: Deals a moderate amount of armor ignoring damage to the enemy over time.
Damage Down Pack: The enemy only deals 50% damage for 5 seconds.
Armor Down Pack: The enemy only has 50% armor for 5 seconds.
Mana Burn Pack: Removes 20% of the enemies Mana

If you're wearing the full Tainted Love Set, 2 additional packs can drop
Super Poison Pack: Deals a TON of armor ignoring damage to the enemy. This will kill them if they don't heal. It might kill them even if they do heal. Basically don't pick this up, it hurts.
Super Stun Pack: Stuns the enemy for 3 seconds (follows all stun immunity rules in PvP)

The Mighty Merkfin Mask

Now that's a grin anyone could love. This lovable Merkfin mask is only available in the store on Valentine's Day and the final day of the event. The rest of the time it can be found as a rare boss drop off of Hugthulu Prime.

- This event's Bane Item is called the Enthralled Talisman
- Keep an eye out for the “Merkfin” miniboss with special loot rewards
- Event NPC “Remmi Amor” has 3 quests to complete.
- There is a Special Hugthulu Prime quest granted once you reach Gold Tier
- There is a Crafting process for turning Endless Love Set into Tainted Love Set
- Thog and Kissogatha both double strike in the Lovecraft zone, and with the appropriate set (Endless Love for Thog, Tainted Love for Kissogatha) will deal that extra damage in all other zones, including PvP. If you have Kissogatha as the base pet, and as the happiness bonus and are in the Lovecraft Zone or are wearing the Tainted love set the Double Strike will apply. The same is true of Thog and the Endless Love Set
- Candy Letters of all types ONLY drop from the new event zone
- Love Letter can ONLY BE USED by Gold tier or higher players, but can be crafted and sold/traded by anyone

I have one small wish. Energy essence drop rate was always bad in Elite southern gates (esg) during events till swamp temple event, when i was able to farm gold and energy essences together in esg. Make energy essences drop rate in esg as good, as it was during swamp temple event, please. :)

Only negative comments that I have about the event right now are:

1. Seems the LV.71 Tainted and Endless sets should have set auras "different" that those on the LV.66 Endless and Tainted sets..... Not being able to distinguish the difference based on the "set aura" defeats the purpose, "to an extent"...........

2. Would be cool to be able to see what you can possibly loot from the "Gold Lovecraft Chests" loot table when you click on info..........

3. Seems to be lots of items with "similar" names... With all of the "items" and the "components" in game, it see it would be less stressful to give certain items "less" similar names.... Just seems the "clicking" (button pressing) in the game is increasing when using menu and other navigation........ When the names are so similar (like love elixir and gold love elixir), it gets frustrating when using auction, especially "right after" using that crafting system because of all the "extra clicking" required to use the new craft.........

4. A map button to go directly to the tombs would be cool.... Sometimes friends aren't there and you cannot join to port there and the extra time going to Kragg then to the tombs can be a bit stressful when you are trying to keep things moving to make your "Tier Achievement" goal................................

3. Seems to be lots of items with "similar" names... With all of the "items" and the "components" in game, it see it would be less stressful to give certain items "less" similar names.... Just seems the "clicking" (button pressing) in the game is increasing when using menu and other navigation........ When the names are so similar (like love elixir and gold love elixir), it gets frustrating when using auction, especially "right after" using that crafting system because of all the "extra clicking" required to use the new craft.........

4. A map button to go directly to the tombs would be cool.... Sometimes friends aren't there and you cannot join to port there and the extra time going to Kragg then to the tombs can be a bit stressful when you are trying to keep things moving to make your "Tier Achievement" goal................................

Im well dissapointed If it is the exact same effects even a diffent colour of hearts too distinguished the L66 from the L71 not the same colour :(
Also those Gold Choc boxes what suppose too come out of those ? Because I just get normal candy letters the same as the other choc boxes ?

I have a time playing and the game consists of repeating maps again and again and it would be great if they created an option that allows you to add direct access from the options to the main screen like the emoticons,
Example in my case I use a lot the preselected equipment change and I would like to add a button to go fast to that screen without having to go through the menu of interactions the same with the map a button that is added from configuration so that when you give it send to the map screen, there may be many shortcuts but only allow you to add a few to not over load the screen.

They really should not be the same colour.

This means 66 endless is still red. 66 taint is blackish with rotating hearts (iirc). And 71 endless and tainted get a different color?

The way the banners was better before.
Now they are too small, not pretty like before, I was in love with the banners of this event. But now I don't want even use them.
If to mages they are too big, make just their banners smaller.

Im talking about Plat thats $172.00 for 1700 plat and Nothing too show for it.
I cant go too Daddy and get i-Tunes cards I got a house too run so when I spend that kind of Cash Id Like At Least Something in Return.

You shouldn't open chests and buy elite awakening gems elixirs or slots from the store and sell them in the auction. Like this you get about 9k gold per 1 platinum. In total u only would have spent about 30euros and gotten about 15million gold. I hope you read this :')

I would suggest for next year to add some incentive to killing the normal merkfin. This year, people only killed the gold version and skipped the normal. If drops next year are to be similar to this year, I would suggest hero thog dropping from normal merk with an increased chance at gold merk. Drop rates could be low but people would at least consider killling normal ones.

I agree , we had this problem last year. I suggested that Hugthulu not spawn until both Merks were killed or Merks should give points n drop tokens..
