View Full Version : Bulletin Board - a place to post guild recruitments or the like.

As opposed to having update info from devs to players, this would be a place for players to post to other players. Perhaps it could be setup similar to the Bounty Board in the sewer, but with a layout more like the CS.

Rather than having categories for helms, weapons, armor and shields, we could have listings for guild recruitments, players looking for other players for pot runs, XP runs, farming runs, whatever. Even guild-sponsored events like PvP tourneys or costume contests, hint hint.

Anyway, I think it would do well. Maybe implement a one-time charge of plat for its use and include it in the premium character package. A simple clickable interface near the CS or guild portal would be perfect.

Thoughts?

Just bumping this back to the top in the event STS has time or any future plans to do any modifying :) I posted this in December of 2014 at the direction of STS Support, but the thread ended up getting closed.

I was discussing an issue with a group of Guild Masters and Senior Guild Officers in Pocket Legends that has to do with day-to-day guild operations and special events. It is extremely hard for us to keep track of everyone when they are in different time zones, on at different periods, etc. So whenever we hold a special event like a raffle or treasure hunt, we can never ensure that everyone has a fair chance to get the info on it. I don't think it would be very hard to create some type of "bulletin board" in the guild halls, since they are unique for every guild. Just something so when a member enters the hall, they can see messages posted by the Guild Master or an officer, even if the GM or that officer is not online. This would make the game much more functional for guild members and administrators, especially since the game still is very active and has an enormous player base. We are constantly seeing new members coming in and trying their hands at different class types. I say this because whether or not STS supports the game anymore since Arcane Legends came into being is still a huge concern within the PL community as I'm sure you are aware. In any event, I'd love to hear back from you guys.

My guild has a new Twitter page, a website, and a Line app chat group. So members DO have adequate means to get in touch with us and learn about current events, but the problem is, many of them do not want to share any of their information or use any means of communication outside of the PL chats. So, adding this feature would make members feel safer and they'd still get the information they need. Not to mention, this would help retain members in guilds, as oftentimes they become frustrated because they missed out on something or violated a guild rule they didn't know existed.

"Lol"? Like I don't know that. You never know when Cinco or someone will decide, on a whim, to do something again. Don't shoot down ideas. I'm putting it out there in case they end up doing something again.

And you think they are just gonna take time out of their day just to make a bulletin board idea, that's been suggested since 2010.
Alright.

Alright.

I'm sorry, but why did you need to add your "2 cents?" What is really the point of your response? People who sit back and do nothing are the ones who don't get anything.

PS. I know it isn't the first time someone has tried. I sent in a suggestion to STS personally, got a reply, and then posted here over a year ago. Never hurts to reiterate something.

You're adding in your "2 cents" in too, correct?

realize. Something from 2010, something that is completely pointless to make an update for. One little thing, for a game they aren't going to update now, since cinco has.
If anything, they are going to update a new cap, in which I honestly truly doubt in that.

It's not going to be implemented into the game.

And you know this because you're psychic? I wasn't speaking to you in the first place, my comment was directed toward STS so why you feel the need to reply even still is strange. Go troll somewhere else.

You could always make one on the forums, you would just need a player to keep it active, I'm sure a dev or mod would be happy to sticky it. Only downside is you couldn't see it in game, but certainly better than nothing if people actually want to make it happen.

True, not a bad idea :) Could be good for those guilds just starting out. We have a fully developed website though, so a good majority of our members can go there. Problem you run into with any online presence, though, is that all your people won't get off their haunches to get online and look LOL.
