Greetings Legends! Are you feeling lucky? St. Patrick's day is here and you're going to need some luck (and maybe a few friends) for this action-packed event.

Mistress Meade and her devoted husband Magnus the Brewmaster of Vardan Valley have come to deliver their tasty beverage to the finest pubs in Arlor!
Problem is: the evil giant 'Guttus Thyrst' stands in their way... and will do everything in his power to destroy Magnus and steal all of his expertly-crafted brew.

Talk to Mistress Meade in Windmoore. She needs you and your friends to help her husband Magnus make his deliveries in safety.
Guttus Thyrst and his massive army of Skeletons will be throwing everything they have at you to stop you!

Protect Magnus' cart as he drives to each delivery location!
Make it to the end to collect 30 Shamrock Tokens!

Scoring
You'll earn leaderboard points for every successful stop you make. 5 for the first. 10 for the second. 15 for the third. 20 when Magnus reaches his final destination.
Bonus points are awarded for defeating Guttus Thyrst and the elusive Leprechoblin!

Could we possibly get something added to the leaderboard vanity set to make it unique?

Player has been complaining about the mage legs being curved back on brawler sets since last year. Look at it this year...

Switch to warrior if you want vanities to look good, with the new aegis you can solo the content too, or switch to rogue if you want to solo everything.
Nobody gives a crap about mage, get used to it.

Yes, it’s same with me! Coz of misunderstandings and missing info about rewards in preview can’t make decision if I run top 25 or top 10
Also in first preview you said that top 25 is receiving vanity set
I support the suggested idea vanities for top 25, we’ve had such events in the past
And personally, I don’t mind if tradable or not.
I’m keepin all anyway :D

I do not support tradable lb rewards. Myself and many others run lb for the exclusiveness of lb items and a sense of accomplishment for having worked hard for the reward. We're proud to show off our exclusive items after the event. If it's tradable then players can just pay gold for the lb rewards and the sense of accomplishment is lost. If the rewards are tradable there's no need to use our gold or spend our money on platinum running the event. In my opinion it's to sts advantage to keep lb rewards nontradeable because (based on personal experience and I know it's like this with other lb runners as well because we've discussed it), I spend a lot more real money purchasing plat when I run the leaderboard than I did when I didnt run the leaderboard.

Cinco, I think its not fair if you add another reward when event has started already. Though I agree it is a great suggestion maybe its something which can be done in future events. May I say too that I am a bit disappointed that LB vanity reward can be looted in crate. For me it should be something exclusive. It also seems like there are a lot of confusion in LB reward people are wondering which is which. Hopefully in the future the event preview is more precise.

Anyways, thanks for the hard work you put in this game, I feel the effort now more than ever.

Um, no. It is good to know that when I see people with this stuff, there was only one way to get it: Actually play that event. And that no one else can get it. So when someone asks, "Yo, how did you get that?" the player can answer, "Event Leaderboards"

Otherwise the answer would be the one for all the other items in game, "Get gold. Buy it."

I think top 10 LB Rewards must be exclusive at least. So much efforts to get that stuff (They are Superhuman, I believe. It's bad decision to put it on crate or something. I'm not a LB runner, but feeling sad because sts put LB top 10 rewards from last year to the crates in this event. Their rewards has losing exclusiveness. I wish sts won't do that again in the future. IMO, Banner & Title Reward from LB must be untradeable for the identity of really runners, but for other rewards like vanity helm, armor & backpack I think it's ok to make them tradeable as long as vanity exclusiveness lasting forever.

I have every sympathy with leaderboard runners as it wasn't clear to everyone that the lb reward was the same one available in mead crates, however in my opinion any changes should always be made pre event (especially in an event like this where you can't simply run faster to catch up)

if they add a new vanity or even special particle effects etc there will be many who understood what the prize consisted of, decided not to run and will be salty if its something they want and can't get due to a late change and the mechanics of this event.

I wasn't active when lb items were made untradrable, and am still unsure why tbh, would be cool if you could shed some light on it ?

I run some lb's, used to run all but real life keeps getting in the way. I happily purchase plat to make up for the time I just don't seem to have these days, and in most areas of the game that's fine... But, for example, this week I will be working 10hr days with 3hrs travel, then I have a partner and 2 young children who I prioritize over my favourite game (society may take a negative view if I didn't xD) and working all those hours I need sleep... Y'know normal adult life.

My proposal was for a tradeable and non-tradeable item in each leaderboard event, so it would retain the personal achievement element but also allow players the choice to sell (nobody is putting a gun to their head) if they ever became bored of said item or as is sadly often the case after events, they needed the gold.

Is it just me or, its just really weird to see someone else already wearing the runner's lb rewards, while runners still have a couple of days to be grinding 6-12hrs a day for it. The exclusiveness of the rewards is dowgraded, not to mention the morale of the runners to keep going will also be affected.

No salt here just hoping this wont happen again, having wrong info from preview is like driving blind, Full of doubts :)

I personally don’t agree with changing lb reward as some decide not to run lb due to ‘not liking the reward’ amd it would be unfair to change it since they didn’t run for lb in the first place. When u run lb u know because you want the reward.
If you don’t like it u don’t run the lb, I don’t think it’s fair to ask for changes in reward in the middle of the event. Just an opinion.

The preview for this event was very unclear as to what the rewards were and yet yall decided to run it anyways.

Last years leaderboard outfit was the same as the chest outfit, except lb had a gold glow? Take the gold glow off the chest vanities and just give it to leaderboard, the same as last year. Simple yet effective.

Its a bad practice to start changing the rewards after the event has started.
If u didnt like the rewards, u should not have ran!

I remember Halloween 2014 had a similar issue with lb rewards. One class specific vanity was advertised as the reward in the preview then halfway throughout the event it was confirmed that all lb runners would receive a vanity set for each class (Frank, Ghost, Medusa) personally I would have no issue with runners receiving all 3 class vanities in this event (I'm not running and am so far behind I couldn't catch up if I wanted too)

And since last year was brawler set, we decided to run in good faith that this was a golden brawler set, let's be real where does anyone get golden brawler from that green bartender set:/

And we aren't trying to be inconsiderate , we know mistakes happen, bro we all love arcane legend, it's a playground you guys offer for all to come enjoy, we love you guys
It's just the fact we simply ask for a recolor of last yr to fix all this, that is all

I think some of the issues here were the fact that a few things may have not been taken into consideration. And even perhaps 1 simple change could've at least altered the disappointment and outcome of this event.

1st: For leader board vanities. From the perspective of a player, if you had 2 options:
1. Spam open chests for a chance to be rewarded said (item). and its trade-able!
2. Go a week without sleep, repeatedly farming, and competing against other players, and not even to mention spending actual $ and in-game money to get a spot on the leaderboard for (item). and its not trade-able!

Which route would you have chosen?

Something that could've been done to fix this based of the responses and reactions of everyone on this thread is you could've removed the vanity set from the chests.
Everyone complained about how it was in there in the first place. I understand that many people dislike the appearance of the set, but if it was only obtainable from the leaderboards at least that would've cheered us up.
But the fact that it was obtainable from chest & it is tradeable (not to mention there are a handful of pay2win players) just causes a massive wave of disappointment.

I hope you guys can take my feedback into consideration and base rewards from the perspective of a player in future events. :D

I want to say to STS thank you very much for this event!!

the concept was really refreshing and original, and i found it very fun to run!

only 2 little things to make it perfect:

1: add tier (would have been more encouraging to run more)

and

2: of course the lb vanity prize should not have been lootable from crate, should always be unique and untradable
(even if i didn't have time to run for lb, i understand very well the frustration of all top 10 lb player)

I also find that 1 week for those event is perfect, 2 weeks is very long to those who run lb.

Thanks to all dev who have put there time and effort and imagination for this really cool and original event!!!

ps: oh just another little thing that should be add :) Magnus would look more genuine if after each run he would give us a mug for our efforts :P

Sounds like you had trouble logging in - while most others did not. Makes me think this was an issue with your internet connection, your device or service provider. Otherwise all others would have experienced the same. We can’t go giving away lb rewards (even the horrible ones everyone hates) because players’ connections fail.
