Ok i had this thought... "Gambling" now before you go and say ah this is a stupid idea let me explain. Now like you guys said before, there should be a spectating room but two seperate ones where you 1-5000 to go on one side (red or blue) this can be 1v1 (more recommended) or a 3v3 etc. Now im explaining it from a 1v1 view. Ok so there could be max of 8 ppl that get to gamble while 2 are on the battle field. You would have a time limit on gambling so one person wont be stupid and wait and hour before gambling( yes theres ppl out there like that) i would say 30 sec max. When all the money is distributed and locked in (idk, if your rdy i guess there will be a pad of some sort you can step on) there will be a count down from 5 secs before the match starts.. And if you chose the right person u get 2x, 3x etc. Of your money.

Now theres a flaw with this ik you could be thinking "but hey what if you players talk to each other telling which one to win and which one to lose to cheat out the process" well i was thinking the choice is at random. Choosing 2 ppl at random in a count down so no one knows who is gonna get picked. And also i think the should be rooms with lvl requirements for example: 10-15,15-20, 20-25, and so on and so on
NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO CHATTING, PM'S, ETC WHILE ON THE BATTLE FIELD AND THERE WILL BE NO LOCKED GAMES AND NO BOOTING DURING THIS. AND IF YOU LEAVE GAME BEFORE MATCH ENDS YOU LOSE OUT ON THE MONEY AND YOU DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE TO GAMBLE YOU CAN JUST SPECTATE AND WATCH

now a question if your actually argeeing with this thought:
should the spectators be able to see the fighters before the gambling or after when all the gambling in locked in???
also 5000c is this too much bid??? should it be lowerd to 500c 1000c???

Kinda get what you mean but what would this be? a tourney held so often by STS? In no way would this be left to members to use at their will. Mainly because there are too many factors that can not be controlled for someone/people to take advantage of.

And if you chose the right person u get 2x, 3x etc. Of your money.

This for starters would not work if this could be made by anyone at anytime, it would just fail (Laundering)

Its a good idea, but this particular process wouldn't work unless this was a monthly/weekly event (which I doubt devs dont have time for)

Yeah it would make more sense if it was monthly activity than a daily activity. But it would be a way to get quicker money and it will be lots of fun

(which i doubt devs dont have time for)

I would hope they would have time for this activity make the game more fun and bring down the beggers asking for money..

I may be mistaken but isn't gambling against tos?

It doesn't say so outright, but judging from the environment and age market that STS caters to, it can be assumed that gambling is not something they want in their games.

They already block profanity and such, which can be argued as less damaging than gambling, IMO.

Players can already 'stake bets' on fights anyway - whether your paid or not is a different story, but for a gambling system outright, don't think it'll happen.

I haven't heard of any pvpers placing "stake bets"... and even if they do, they never pay up no one is ever fair espeacially if its a big out like 5000 thats why i was suggesting a system that if you lose, you lose you have to pay.. but if these ppl are out there and u know, plz hm^ but i really hav not met one person who places bets on fights yet :-/

Staking happens, just not as public I guess. I know I've had some fun staking some fights between friends.

I remember back when we suggested a way to upgrade/forge our equipment, they either successfully upgrade or fail and break. Cinco didn't approve of this because he didn't want to introduce that feeling of failure and devastation when your equipment broke, which is understandable due to the age audience of the game. I would say same thing here, he wouldn't want to introduce losing your cash and be very addictive.

Finally, doesn't gambling have a minimum age of 18/21? The game is aged 9+ in the app store.

i totally agree with how some ppl act in due to failure. But really i dont see that as a problem bcuz its your choice to do it, no one is hold a weapon to ur head saying "do it" if you fail its ur mistake, not any one elses you messed up, big deal. Im not trying to suggest this thought as a "must do or you die" its really your choice to do it or not.

And yeah i totally forgot about the age limit for gambling :-/ my bad.. Maybe have a warning sign say something like "warning gamble is a do at you own risk if you lose out on money you cant sue" idk something like that...

Sam said they didn't want that type of stuff to represent their PvP somewhat.

LOVE this quote, and had to rebuild it though since it is from a closed thread [hint hint].

Sorry, don't want to be a big damper on the party here. It was mentioned, but never promoted like this. Consider our position:

Little Johnny has a gambling problem
Little Johnny gets addicted to Kav's Casino
Little Johnny uses mom's credit card to buy a ton of plat to feed his addiction
Johnny's mom does not like this at all, and decides to pursue legal action

So we can't condone this... sorry.

There will be no gambling in Star Legends.
