I killed both Hydra and lord oric with no gear on whatsoever but for some odd reason I did not get the achivment of any of them! Am I supposed to put pet away too?

They both seem to be working fine from what I can tell - your entire group needs to not have anything equipped in weapon and armor slots for the entire fight.
