flying kites is fun!

I kite, you cry, too bad I can't hear you at 13m though ^^. Can someone seriously tell me why kiting is frowned upon? Why don't you try it out and see how you fair, its not easy and requires some serious focus to try and stay 13m-10m with my xbow.

It's not really frowned upon... It's more... Hated by some people. They hate on it because they can't get close enough to hit you, and they get aggravated. I know it's annoying when I'm playing my pally and a voodoo stays 14 meter and runs in to do a quick ice drain fire, then back out, but I don't complain. Mostly because I kite, too. Lol. Anyway, it's only hated/frowned upon by people who either can't kite, or can't counter kite. They don't care how hard/easy it is. They just hate. (:

When they start running away u run away too
then u say "...." and then go back in and fight him

I don't run, I never stray further then 13m, otherwise that's running not kiting, I keep consistent with my range so that my attacks still reach during the entire bout.

Kiting is a boss move. I learned it from Imkelly, Kanital, Paaahud, FreeusfromGcd, etc. All the pros do it. Anyone who complaigns probably can't do it, or is just having a bad day and complaigning cause they lose. Just an fyi also, running and kiting are in fact very different. ;)

if someone is kiting, they're at 13m, and it takes a fraction of a second to change to 12m and kill you. Lol.

Kiting is a skillful tactic. You might see a moderate kdr on certaain chars who kite. Why? The practice it involves is tough. You mess up a bit, and the fight is done, you're dead. Anyone who complains about kiting needs to just go away and not pvp. It's not against any rule, and devs made weapons like xbows specifically with the "sniper" type in mind. Kiting utilizes that superior range. Unfair? NO! Pick up a xbow yourself and stop complaining. Wanna know why i started kiting? Because over a year ago, I was having trouble vs birds who continuously kitied my bear. So i started dual specing for the riot bear setup and a xbow bear if i needed. I didnt sit there and cry like a little failure, I USED MY HEAD.

end rant.

bottom line: if you can't counter kiters, you cleary need to improve your skills. I've had people from my workshop ask me on how to deal with kiters, and i gladly help. It's not impossible, it just makes you look like a boss when you stomp a kiter.
