Old xmas market?

Hmm, after looking at the new christmas gear compared to the old gear it looks like all the compareables have the same stats and right now are super cheap due to people wanting big money now instead of waiting. I started to wonder what would happen to the prices of older xmas gear.

I am inclined to say that with the fact that the gear is now officially discontinued (never to be looted again according to this years xmas event) the prices of the old xmas gear will go up. But when I actually think about it I wonder if the prices will actually fall for old xmas gear because the new gear has the same stats and at the end of this event will be much more plentiful.

I really cant say anything for sure at this point in time, it could go either way.

I'm torn myself. I guess the answer is that the old has more "collector" value, where the new will have pvp value. My guess is that prices for items that are useful (toy man wand, snowball launcher) will be about as they were. But at this point, its all just speculation.

the most important difference to the old items is that the new ones doesnt have stats requirements. so it could be that we will have some changes in low level PVP. but need to look into yet...

and yes the old items will go up horribly high, stats same or not doesnt matter...

there are many more players this time around, so my bet is that there will be more "new" versions out there. the old version items might not reach the same price again, but they will be worth more.

Looks like this threard will be a mute point soon. With everyone having to pay each time they play the Winter Fest and for each and everyone one of thier alts. There will be less and less of the new items to buy. I realize this is a money making opertunity for STS; but why not make it a map, like they did last year?

Hey, I think i bought the wrong thing when i sold one of the first winter pinks i got 600k (i didnt ever had that much to be honest) and after yesterday i had 900k, when i saw that the pink prices got really low i bought alot of the new version pinks seems like i invested the money in the wrong items. Do you think they'll become more expensive after winter (i hoped that when i bought em)

I think old xmas items prices will go up
Even if they have the same stats as this year's items prices will go up definatly
Because people love showing off
"Look I have the original WF items"
& nothing beats a toy wand;)

Hmm, right now its tough to say. It stands to reason considering it happened to last years pinks that this years pink will be worth more later down the line. Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions about it.

umm.. 4 years from now, the original WF items are gonna be worth people's souls... Because 1, they're discontued, and 2, they're the FIRST EVER batch of items from the FIRST EVER WF.

It'll be buying season in a week.

The items of last years 15/25 wf items will go up significantly, as there are no counterparts for the old 15/25 wf items, and there are no new 15/25 wf items.
