Listen up Sts I'm giving you an idea to make money. I call it the "vanity converter"

Ever had an awesome item that you wish you could wear the whole game? Maybe you're crazy about that death armor! Or you you simply love your earth shield! Now you can!

Fiesty Frederick (a bear) has come to make your wishes come true! Take any item you own, bring it to him and for a measly 2 platinum you can convert that item to vanity! Be careful though, once converted your item will loose all of its stats!

Or a vanity creator - Make your own custom vanity in game :).

- Could combine different styles of gear to make a very odd looking vanity, and you would control the colors, or "extended" perks for platinum. Maybe like the Omni helm, have some super vanity option for 500 plat.

This is an awesome idea MM! You could buy a vanity for plat at the booth as well. Just choose the vanity you want and each one has a plat price ranging from 2 to 5 plat each. I call it the Vanity Vendor!

At first I was trying to figure out why STS would never do this like most other suggestion threads... Then I realized how awesome this is. I have to say a mystery helmet would look awesome as a vanity.

I think this is a very good idea. In other games I have played you could equip items in an appearance section or an active section....the appearance being the item shown unless nothing there then it defaults to the active item........then we would all look more unique and give more reason for collecting some lower level items

I've been thinking about this too, but I feel STS won't charge 2 plat per item, probably be like 10-20, because nobody would buy their vanities in store.

Maybe a Gold or Plat version, all the models are there. I don't know coding but how much work would this take to code something that would facilitate a 'vanity convertor' machine....

There used to be some 2 plat ones and slowly risen to 5-10. Now I don't agree with the the 200 plat thing *ahem*rich/poor gap*ahem*. That is a bit overpriced.

Awesome guys, awesome. Btw I chose 2 platinum because it seems the most reasonable, at least for helms. After all by making a cheaper way to get a vanity helm, it raises the rareness of the vanities in the store, and I believe it would raise overall sales from store vanities because people would want more unique vanities. Maybe not...but maybe ;)

I imagine making this happen would require making the item database twice as large since every item would then have to be added as a xyz "vanity" item. This is most likely why this will not come to fruition.

Actually, I don't think that's quite how it works. I'm no expert, but it would seem to be more of a "molding" of an already existing code, rather than a completely new code with simply the same ingame looks.

Keep the level req the item had and ditch the stats and attribute req?

@dugantale, as far as I see it this will not be a problem in the least. Why? Because not all 40s will wear 40 gear and not all 6s will wear 40 gear. No one will "look the same" everyone will look different...? Lol of course it is imo

Oops i didn't know there was a thread for this idea lol. I suggested that there maybe should be vanity "card. This card could be bought from a N.P.C your name sounded cool. It could be bought for 5 platinum, which is the regular price for most platinum items, and it could be turned back into your regular item for 2 platinum. If someone could not afford this it could be 50k.,, bla bla sorry I double posted I really didn't know this thread was here...
