Purpose for Shadow Caves??!?!?

Is the only purpose for the Shadow Caves is gain EXP and find pinks? I don't think there are any quests or anything else of importance correct? I read that the pinks are SUPER RARE but that is the only point for doing runs there.

There aren't any quests there. The pinks are super rare and powerful for their level but the time and cost (in potions) it takes to get them isn't worth it IMO. Back when the level cap was 50 everyone was wanting these items but you can get level 51 equips now a lot easier and a lot cheaper. I was in a group that spent a fair bit of time farming there when the level cap was 55 and my advice would be to only go to shadow caves and farm if you're level 65 and are bored and want to try something new and maybe make some gold while you do it. If you're level 50 I'd either get a cheaper void, cosmos, or rift set to use or buy level 51 sewer gear and use that until you get to level 55.

Yes. There are no quest in the Shadow Caves, and it's pretty much a place to go if you want to take a whole lot of punishment since drops are ultra rare and the bosses hit HARD!

On the contrary even with a group of lvl 60's+ it is still pretty challenging. You have to have a well rounded group that knows how to beat the bosses there to survive!!

1000 shadow shards and 1000 locks of witch's hair for some shadow weapons would be cool quests! And get people in there periodically :)
