Buying Gl is an investment in the long haul. You are essentially spending gold to make more gold.

5,000 gold drop is 10,000 with 100gl

5,000 gold drop is 15,000 with 200gl

Its worth it if it is something you see yourself doing for quite the while, if you get bored of farming easily id say you save the money and merch with it.
Merching still seems way more profitable in my opinion but that is totally up to you ofcourse.
Gl is only really worth it if you can get 300 plus minus, or more, since having few goldloot really doesnt do that much in the long run, so if i was you i would see how much gl i can get and decide from there on.
