New pet level up currency

So today i bought a new pet and i got the level up page as always then i noticed something different it said 1 (the logo of the currency) so i tapped on it and it instantly leveled the pet to level 71 i didn't even know i had that currency i expected it to say that i have 0 and i need 1 but it just made my pet level 71 so now i tried it at another pet but it says i need platinum so what could this new currency be? Something of the expansion?

Sent from my SM-N935F using TapatalkEdit: i found another currency of the expansion its called vales and you can have max 10.000 of it so its probably going to be like the balanced tokens of chancel of light.
maybe the expansion is going to be like the graveyard and mausoleum expansion that you need tokens for the next stage.

Vardan vales were the currency used to purchase several items during the vardan valley mini event. Its nothing new.
These are indeed most likely used to purchase progression related items like they implemented in glintstone and citadel.

Iirc, when you buy the level up booster pack, it also contains 1 pet level up token
