Will there be armor mixing in the future in star legends like pl? Like for example will an operative be able to equip engi armor or is it beneficial to be pure?

yes. duel speccing. wearing some engi and some commando items together. i believe you can do this in pl

I doubt it. PL gear is stat-based so no matter what class you are you can equip the gear as long as you meet the stat requirement. Some weapons and shield in SL are level-based and can be equipped by any class, but all the other non-vanity gear is class-based. Will it ever change? Nah... if anything they will change PL to match SL, not the other way around.
