The other day I decided to come back to the game as soon I heard there was a new expansion coming which is great by the way.

As I was leveling up I saw lots of mages can trigger the effect of ebon armor quite easy with the proc of ebon staff... Then I started to wonder "will the ebon staff help cryo pendant and arlor ring effects to activate on a frequent basis?" I asked around but it seems nobody has tried it yet.

Has anybody tried this yet? Does the healing of ebon staff and cryo pendant stack while doing massive damage back?

Uhhh, not sure what you mean by the thread title.

1] Set as in Set items only give bonusses when worn for example 3/3 on Taint set.

2] Some sets do not come in Set form but are still considered a set, press on "i" for more info.

3] Sets do not affect eachother, correct me if im wrong but as far as i know proc chance is independant of other gear.

Hope this helped, welcome back to the game

Few things;
The armor can be proced when u do any kind of damage, but the proc has a cool down so can't be spammed by anything else.
Cryo is proced when u either do or take damage so they might help each other but not much. Personally I've never found poison damage to do much.
Another thing is that if u are end game then using a lv 56 amulet means u are missing out on a lot of base stats, so even if they work together a bit, you'd be better finding end game gear with better stats.
Lastly too many Mage skills have a freeze stun or knockdown, and all those things prevent enemies from hitting u, so any item that procs off when u take damage are hindered.
