Does anyone know if island portal spawns when Arcane Deary egg is slotted?
Or you have to actually own that pet to get the portal?

It's AA spawns a portal. So you can slot it as an AA in any pet.

I ran many times with arcane deary egg slotted in HB and AA slots but didn't get a single portal. I wonder if devs fixed that and now you need an actual pet.

Maybe this is a misunderstanding, as far as I can tell OP is talking about the portal that leads to Deary Island and Faotblack is talking about the AA's portal

dont know exactly but i changed HB and AA of my arc deary and it still spawning portal... means need to have opened deary?
It's AA spawns a portal. So you can slot it as an AA in any pet.
its different portals, deary AA just removing some mobs from map for 6 seconds (deary ring has chance to do same)
deary as pet spawning portal to deary's island or to towns when boss killed

its a pet passive that activates automatically so you need to open the pet.

Thanks everyone! Sorry for misleading question. Right, I meant the portal that leads to Arcane Deary Island. I updated original post.
As people already mentioned above looks like to get island portal spawned after boss kill you need the pet. I just didn't want to open it but seems that I have to in order to get that portal.

Why?
Here it is in case you are asking me to read it to you- You receive +20str, int, dex, +14%damage, 140 armor, +5%crit, and +12 random stat every 20s.
@intruders Tip- when you get the portal to deary island you will see a red round icon on your hud, if you dont see that icon it means the portal is for a town instead of deary island.
