If you are using an iphone/itouch you can take a screenshot with your character then you upload the image to your computer. Using photoshop, paint, or other software you can make a sig with your character in it :)

photoshop offers quite a good service. you could ask a few forums, like Yvonell who make cool sigs.

For ios I use sketchbook pro for iPad and mobile for iPhone and very recently art rage for iPad, adobe photoshop and illustrator on the pc exclusively.

I use photoshop a lot. I tried using that site for me, and it didn't really turn out very well.

Photoshop just needs some playing around with to get the hang of (took me a while to get, I can be dense when it comes to too many buttons haha) :) You can clear old backgrounds so you can layer and using http://www.dafont.com/ lets you pick your font. For sites that require RGB (red, green, blue) or hue/saturation/brightness, use this http://www.colorpicker.com/ to figure out the code of the color you want :)
