It gives the BEST stats and bonus for a set and it grants temporary dev powers!...but no one has ever gotten a full set...who knows what would have happened if one was assembled

Also, Complete Crafted Oyster Set is up for 1,337 Platinum only.
Do it the easy way.

Last of all, your Oyster Set is for Oyster Class Newbies.
The Whirlz Set is so much better, 200% more dodge, crit and 500% more armor and DPS.
I think the Squirrel Set is better than Oystery Set too.
Here's an advanced analysis.

Oystery Set consists of 200 pieces, each dropped from a boss from PL.
Farm and get all 200 pieces, and you can craft one pink piece of the set.
Get all 20 pink pieces, and you can craft a Crafted Piece.
Get all 5 Crafted Pieces and you can have a Oyster Set Piece.
Get all 3 Oyster Set Pieces and you can them have the full conplete set.
The first one to ever get the set was Cinco Loco and it took him about 12 hours.

It may still be possible to start an oyster. I heard they nerfed it, but I haven't checked. There's this glitch... you know the carousel, when creating a character? Well, you have to tap it when it is exactly between the bear and the bird, and tap on the lid of the chest. If you don't tap it exactly, it will just be one of the three regular classes. Once you get the oyster class, you definitely DO want to buy a premium character to get the special oyster sets. Finally, don't skip the tutorial. It has a special lesson in it for oysters, How to Make a Pearl. Pearls can be sold in the CS, too, so keep an eye out for them under the Crafting components.

Access to Oyster World is still available in the Oasis, but the sign is gone. It just looks like an ordinary tent, but when you walk through it, it transports you to the oyster campaign.

I hope my information isn't out-of-date. I haven't played my oyster for a few months.

I really don't know why everyone's lying to you... Obviously the oyster class is real. Just spin around 4 times while praying to the loot gods of alterra, than check your inventory. If you have a "pearl of the oyster god", just click it and the oyster will be available from the character creation page.
