The start of a new year is a great time to reflect on what happened the year before and look ahead to the year that is coming. 2011 was an awesome year for Spacetime Studios, characterized by growth and achievement. We know that our success wouldn’t have been possible without you, our fans.

On behalf of everyone here at Spacetime Studios, I want to express our deep thanks and gratitude to all of the many players across the globe who support us.

2011 in Review:

Pocket Legends (http://www.pocketlegends.com/)continues to grow, with over 6 Million downloads and accumulating accolades (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/content.php?212-Recent-Press-Links), such as:

• Massively.com: “Best Smartphone Game of 2011”
• Mashable Awards: “Best Mobile Game of 2011 (Finalist)”
• Gizmocrunch: “Best Android Games for Tablets

Our second game, Star Legends: the Blackstar Chronicles (http://www.starlegends.com/), exploded on the mobile gaming scene in August to wide critical acclaim (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/content.php?222-Recent-Star-Legends-Press-Links)and has already accumulated over 1.5 Million downloads.

• Venture Beat: “Top 10 iOS game of 2011”
• Mashable.com “Top 10 Best Android Games of 2011”
• Appolicious “Best Free iPad Games of All Time”

Combined, Spacetime Games are played over a million times each week in over 200 countries worldwide.

Spacetime Studios (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/content.php?228-Spacetime-Press-Links)also received some nice awards, including:

• Pocket Gamer: “Top 50 Developers of 2011”
• Develop Magazine: “The World’s 100 Best Game Studios”

In 2011 we not only grew our playerbase significantly, but we also grew our understanding of how best to expand our live games. MMO games, by their very nature, are constantly evolving. In Pocket Legends alone we added 15 levels of content, countless new quests, revamped areas and refined game mechanics over the course of hundreds of patches to the live game. Through all of this activity, we have come to doubly value the feedback we receive from our customers. Spacetime Studios’ vibrant message forum community reflects our commitment to maintaining a robust dialog with the fans that play our games.

In December of 2011, we further expanded the capabilities of our games by bringing them to the Chrome Webstore. This was an industry first (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/content.php?345-World%E2%80%99s-First-MMOs-to-Unite-Desktop-and-Mobile-Devices), as we tore down the barriers between 3D MMO players on desktop computers, smart phones and tablets.

2012, The Year to Come

Even if Mayan prophecies come true in 2012, we will be working hard right up to the bitter end to bring you awesome gaming. We continue to develop content expansions for Pocket Legends and Star Legends. Next up for Pocket Legends is Humania, and after that is the next chapter in the three part saga “Crusade of Chaos” for Star Legends. Beyond content, we are working to bring localized versions of our games in multiple languages to all corners of the globe. Expansion to better serve the global market, that has already embraced the English versions of our games, will only bring more resources to bear in the development of our connected gaming ecosystem.

What else could be better for the New Year than more games? In 2012 we will be releasing the next title in the Legends Franchise: Dark Legends (http://www.darklegends.com/). Dark will be a bit of a departure from the formula that Pocket Legends established as we innovate on lessons learned. The game is shaping up nicely and we are very excited to get it into your hands. Follow Dark Legends on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter to be in the know when we start the push toward beta testing.

2011 was a huge year for Spacetime Studios and I invite you to join us for the thrill ride that 2012 is shaping up to be. Thanks again for your continued support!
