Is it possible to defeat overlord with a level 50- group with out using elixir? ?????????????????

I would answer this, but I don't know since I haven't beat him yet(Fail for a level61 XD) I'm going to say yes. It would probably take a long time and a few mages(2-3 atm). Happy pwning!

A "prototypical" group of 1 bear, 2 birds, and 2 mages is best. You need at least one bird to break his mana shield so you dont have to use the cans. And as Lowly said, the better the gear, the better the chance. Make sure you have plenty of health/mana pots also.

It's possible, the first time i saw it die a 53 friend helped me and she told me how yo kill it. I killed it (myself) around 49-51 one of those levels, but since it was my first time i used a lot of potions. Lol

The only time I killed him was either by letting a bored lvl 66 kill him while playing 20 questions with Low (Lol remember Low?) or under the influence of a 7,000 gold super combo elixer (not the measly ones like in the guildhall. The old, and more powerful, elixers)

I remember killing OL countless times when the level cap was 50. But, I have to admit, it wasn't always easy. As said here already, if you have a full group of decently geared 50's (decent gear being key here), you should be able to take him down without too many problems. We even took him down with a group <50 many times too, but this usually involved spamming health pots like there was no tomorrow. The only real strategy to survive at around level 50, is being able to effectively spam health pots while still using your skills IMO. So, basically, skill-hp(s)-skill-hp(s)...

So yeah, definitely possible :)

Personally I always skipped him way back when and just focused on the keeper runs and captive audience runs .

Have a tank get aggro and hide outside have birds with lots of pots and blast off his shields. Have mages healing and one waiting to revive outside the room. This strategy works pretty well but you'll need good players who are skilled.
