Need Advice

Hey guys im starting a Operative and plan to use him at 35, for pvp. So until then i need to aquire some good stuff and need a bit of advise from you people who are way more experienced than me in the way of the Operative.

1. The gear i should use: im gussing custom blade tech, (very expensive i think), or is normal bladetech good enough?

2. Guttersnipe with the pink blackstar shield? Or are the other 2 better? They cost like 3-5 more in the cs

3. Is there an easier way of obtaining recipees other than buying from vendor in Blackstar?

4. If theyre is not how am i going to make enough money to get the recipees (i already have all but helmet from bladetech)? I am not a good merchanter so where would i farm good items? What place has the best stuff to liquidate?

5. What skill setup should i have at 35 and what should i invest in at lower levels?

Guttersnipe with blackstar shield is fine. And custom would be better but normal is ok.

if you are going to PvP, you will want the nova and the blackstar shield. the nova gives you a dodge bonus. you should also get the plat armor, which also has a dodge bonus of 2 which the other 2 legendary 35 pistols don't, and the blackstar shield also adds max dodge. There is a set bonus for any legendary pistol/plat shield combo, i just forgot it. I only twink op PvP on GinFiend so i can't give you too much help with the skill build, but you should max out amplify pain and precision and you can have a hit of 85% for 6 seconds. you will also want 6 in your flames (going to be your most effective DoT). don't waste money on custom blade, just reach 40 and save up for that custom set.

You can obtain custom recipes through beating bosses, or buying them in auction.

A gut is good, but Lelouch explains very well why Nova is better. There's a reason why its more expensive. Same for builds, look at Apollo's thread.

Also, if you really want to do l35 pvp, buy the set. Don't craft it, its cheaper (at times) to buy the set. You can get l35 sets for around 30k-60k from some people. That's cheaper than crafting :)

But according to me You should use
Custom Bladetech Set...will now cost around 70-80k
Use Nova Blaster+ Blackstar shield The Best for PVP
Use Stell Skin Implant Or The platinum Implant for Damage and DPS
If you dont have plat...according to me...
you should use Dura Skin or Eagle Eye implant(thts what i use as i dont own plats)

If you only intend to pvp on 35 and not lvling after, ur priority should be owning a pink gun with ur pink shield over the customization of ur gear. Just farm the recipes or check for cheaper one at auction.
Any pink gun will do really.
Gutter is actually decent, cheap and underestimated. If u can Ive seen razor at around 60k at auction.
Also at that lvl dual can still be used with some succes and good play. At 40, dual guns are not good anymore in pvp.

About the nova, its not the dodge that make the difference but the hp and the dmg. Razor and gutter have faster autoshoot rate, so ull need to play on that between unleashing ur 2 dots.
Keep in mind if u fight an other Op with custom, nova and starshield and u have gutter, starshield and normal gear: u have about 100 hp diff and also big base dmg diff. And still its possible to win. :)

With that you will raise your critical to 40 unbuffed, practically every other attack is a crit. (Assuming your full dex)

if you intend at stopping only at 35 then i would suggest going with:

Custom Bladetech + Blackstar shield + Nova blaster + dodge implant ( plat if you can but the regular crafted should suffice )

i wouldnt suggest farming it in SY5 if you do not have plat for miners luck.As for skills i would suggest looking at Apollo's build for ideas and tips.
