Tradeable but not stashable.

I like to buy tons of these and open on lower lvl chars so that I don't over load my inventory on my main character. Why are these tradeable but not stashable?
Elite warchest, Elite pirate chest ii, Elite puzzle box. All of the elite chests in general from elite Kracken, Nordr and Shuyal. I can still buy on my level 2, just questioning why a tradeable item isn't stashable, had to lend a friend the 500 chests to trade to my lv 5.

I've always found it odd as well. It's not like it's impossible to get them to alts either, but it's probably for something like making it harder to store stuff or something weird that someone thought of late at night. Like transferring stuff to storage alts. It's not like opening on an alt does anything as there's nothing bound in it like crate tokens. Odd, odd, maybe there'll be a story behind it from the devs!
