One of my friends has this issue, when he tries to log online it starts with *loading screen and then proceeds to this error. He can't login online at all. Can any of the devs look into it please?
We've tried deleting AL/sts.al files and reinstalling the game but it doesn't work.

That's the message when you hit the back button after patching starts - beyond that, not sure what to tell you.

His WiFi is more than fine, works on YouTube and other games.

It looks like he just has terrible network conditions between him and the servers for some reason - getting almost no throughput patching and then his connection drops.
He could try the 1.1.1.1 VPN app and see if that works around the issue - depending where the problem is, the different routing from bouncing through cloudflare might avoid the problems.
