Spirit proc lags?

I just leveled a staff to 42, the proc is awesome but I notice that the pull happens a full 2 seconds after you see the proc which appears as the vines growing out.
The problem is that in that 2 seconds mobs are either killed pushed or pulled out of the effect rendering it useless. Solution would be that the pull happens as soon as the visual more like the terror blade proc.

If this isn't a bug and its ineffectively as intended, please move this thread to suggestions please. I don't mean to bother Futu

At 41+, it happens at 1s/2s/3s after the proc.
