Leaving During Combat

When someone attacks you, if you leave you get a death. But today when I was playing, I was away from everyone one the opposite side of the room. When the other people fought, noo attacks hit or debuffed me, but when I left it gave me a death for leaving during combat? Is this a bug?

If you are buffed or use one if your spells, you effectively "enter combat". They changed it a bit, annoying, I know, but that's what it is. :/ Sorry, bro! :(

So now someone can get easy PVP deaths from just buffing and leaving?

Correct. As a copperhead bear I must constantly buff taunt just so I could make use of another 8 dodge. Very annoyed when I forget and leave.

Hmmm that is probably where 30% of my deaths come from. LOL!

I dont mind it- kd doesnt really matter. Plus it is 10000000000000000000% better than when you could leave without deaths at any time.
