Is there any consequence if you get caught spawn killing. I know if your having a FFA match its ok to stand outside and wait (which i can be accused of) for the person to come out, but I know a player who is known quite well in the pvp community, caught boosting their stats/spawn killing new players in ctw. They told "The well known pvp" to please stop multiple times, but refused to listen and continued spawn killing them, or ruining their time playing the game. (Against the TOS)

I joined the game and there were 3 of them all sitting in their enemy (My) spawn waiting. I have a screen shot, but i know this player is recovering from another recent incident, so i refuse to post any pictures (Unless needed).

SOLUTION:
There needs to be a "invisible force field" that keeps one team out of the other teams spawn. It should also keeps any attacks from going in or out of the force field. Once you have exited your spawn, you cannot go back in to take cover.

In Battle Field 3 there's a "safe zone" that each faction has in the map. It protects people from spawn killing noobs.

this is a pretty big issue when it comes to CTF...

@ jedi, It's not so much a complaint, its rather a suggestion to help make the communitys playing experience better. The other threads you are referring to, are unlike this one. He's actually making a suggestion to help. It's probably already been discussed, but like nick said, he just wanted to shed a light on the matter.

@ nick, I definitely second your notion. It is a big issue in ctf.

This is probably one of the only threads about this that has a good suggestion. There are a few 3v3 maps that would benefit from this type of thing as well. Hopefully putting this into the game wouldn't be to hard to implement. :)

And an interesting system to add to CTF would be a way to keep the amount of active players even on both teams.
Example:
Two teams of two are playing in a 3v3 CTF map, when another player joins blue team. The new player is unable to pass the border. One of his teammates dies, and he tries to pass the border again. He succeeds, and the player that died finds himself unable to leave, after respawning, and goes afk. Another blue team player dies, and respawns. He notices his teammate is afk, and leaves the spawn point.

Does that make any sense? :distant:

Also, you should not be allowed to reenter your spawn zone once you left it.
I find it quite annoying when people hide in there or even go there with the flag, since I wouldn't follow in there...
With this rule implemented this could even happen more often.

I'd like to see this implememted, eventhough I think the chances are quite low (as for many brilliant, but small suggestions that forumers make...)

bolded it for u ;)

BTW: im glad you all agree this is a good idea. I think it would help out A LOT in CTF

TBH there needs to be something done about the CTF goal boosting.
It's uncommon, but simply grabbing the flag and waiting for someone to join on the opposite team and then scoring for a free point should be nerfed.

What if there were no flags till someone on the other team joined? :o

It is nearly impossible to stop people from being lame. Lameness is an uncurable disease, as long as there are ways t cheat, hack, lie, steal, boost, etc people they will continue to do lame things. Leave em to their lameness.

Their lameness shouldn't effect how I play the game. If there was a barrier that kept out, I think it should all work out great for everyone (but the lame people of course).

Ik It does "blow" man. And that is a good, constructive idea.
Multi player, mass multi people online says it all. Just comes with the territory.

Yea something like that would be awsome but there should be like in fps (counter strike) You cant get hurt for atleast 5 sec when u just spawmed

counter-strike-type spawn invincibility should to the trick. a few seconds, no biggie, fixes everything. much easier to implement than a user restricted area, simply set it up as a buff upon reviving.

What about a simple 3x def elixir that lasts 3-5 seconds?

It's kind of a bad idea for the force field around the base in CTF, because then when you got in it to CTF, they wouldn't get a chance to get the flag back.

You won't be aloud in the spawn once you leave it.. There is no way for the flag to even make it's way into the base.

You have good point there, but still it is possible to stand right outside the sheild and cause "camping" problems in the game. I myself have done a good share of spawnkilling, and they could do 2 things to fix it, either your idea, or have smaller rooms as backup spawn places, that still are close by of course. But you still make a great point.
