It would be very helpful in my opinion. As players would no longer need to swipe through hundreds of gear pieces to find their favourite collectable

What about making them impossible to sell?
Such as trying to sell all legendary items without deleting the special ones.

You just need to favorite the legendaries you want to save. The system already exists. You can't liquidate/trade/gift gears that are on favorite
