Request for funtion: AFK

Hi,
Since I started playing SL in chrome instead of on my mobile, I am confronted to a little problem:
I often do 2 things at the same time (work and auctions in SL) - meaning during the day I am AFK most of the time with a hop on hop off of 5 minutes every hour or so.
During this time, many friends and guildies talk to me, not realising that I am AFK.

I would love to see the possibility appear in SL to inform people i'm AFK -
It could be some "status flag" or "a -afk" mention in the nick.
It could be autoset after 5 minutes of inactivity or by checking a box.

At first glance, only a small part of SL gamers are directly concerned by this matter (as I never AFK'ed when I was playing on my mobile), however if you consider the time they loose talking to AFK "Chromers", this function would benefit phone users too.

Nice! I never thought about how convenient this would be:) lol, what happens if you use the AFK button on a pvp map? I think it would be interesting either way: can be killed vs can't be killed:) interested in seeing what others think.

Yes this would be very usefle during real life unexpected situations. Lemme help you fish! ( gets fake thumbs, sticks on fish, and puts them up ) there you go! :)

I like the idea. Perhaps "/afk" could make you hold a flag that says "AFK" or something

Perhaps it could be available to all players in the game? It could have its own page in the options, and have features such as:

• how long till your automaticly afk
• can set an auto reply for when ur messaged while afk
• on/off toggle

id say this is a good idea bro cause me myself is way "AFK" when im in chrome (the fact im watching movies all the time lol, thats why im afk alot haha) :highly_amused: ..after just half an hour i get like 17 notif.hurts to say woops sorry was afk doin this, doin that thingy.
and most problem of ppl being afk alot, ppl may think u snab em or something etc. over all..i really like the idea, idk why i didnt posted this earlier :tickled_pink:
