Pvp kill death ratio

Over the past weeks I had an urge to try to get on the leader boards.
Than kill death ratio came up..well I was wondering how they rank the players?
Is it like maybe a person has 500kills an 2 deaths..so there's soul be 498?
I wasn't quite sure were to post thisxD

500 kills/2 deaths = 250 K/D.

Basically, Kills/Deaths = kill death ratio.

500/0 is still viewed at 500, because you can't divide by zero.

i don't get why pvp k/d is on the leaderboards when more than half the time its not gained legit.. :/ but thats imo..
