This was originally posted in the Blog section, but I Really would like to hear about other players experience with different L65 sets and their Specs. Also if different class players (Bears or Birds) have experimented with different L65 sets Please post about your experiences in PVE and/or PVP with L65 sets. The more details and posts the better:D
My Enchantress experiences with L65 Gear sets(<original Blog title):
Orlok: Str at 150 the rest on Int
Much less Damage taken, most of the hits miss and there is a lot less need to heal with my dodge at 41
Less damage dealt to enemies and no ranged weapon attacks, but I was able to tank bosses in Fang to the point where only their super critical attacks would kill me. In terms of tanking, it was very easy for me to stay right next to a bear; making Healing, Debuffing, and Combos easier as I did not have to worry about my health or have to kite.
Less Skill Damage for: Frostbite, Ice storm, Fire, Lightening, Drain Life and Min- Max Heal was also less than mages with more Int
Low Mana regen with high Health regen
Low Crit and Hit% with high Dodge and Armor ratings
Did not have much luck in PVP without ranged weapon and less Skill overall potential was at its lowest in comparison to the other sets
Sanguine: Dex at 150 the rest on Int
Dex mages have great potential to deal a lot of Damage with weapon attacks and the ability to deal damage very quickly.
Less Skill damage than pure Int mages as well as less Min-Max heal
Much higher DPS, Hit% and Crit; Slightly higher armor than pure Int but much less than Orlok Str mages
Average stats for both Health regen and Mana Regen
The ability to have either a ranged weapon: Long Bow/Crossbow set or a Dagger and Wing: for close combat.
In PVP Dex mages can be extremely successful; Dealing more damage that Orlok Str mages; can and potentially can deal more weapon damage than Lilith mages
Over all a good experience with sang set
Lilith: All Int
With maxed Int I felt that I was able to see what a mages max Skill Damage and Heal potential could be, I found this to be my personal favorite L65 Set.
Maxed Skill Damage and Heal Min-Max
No non- ranged weapons, making the Kiting tactic a useful approach
Staff Set:
5491
5492
1. Increase Skill damage; was able to hit a Max Drain Life Damage at 601 after using my Revive and Blessing of Might Buffs.
5493
5494
2. Less Heal Min-Max
5495
3. Much Less, Armor, Health and Mana Regen, etc.
4. Higher Weapon Damage and DPS
5. Must play more defensively in order survive
Wand and Bracer Set:
5496
5497
1. Less Skill Damage than Staff but more than Dex or Str mages
5498
5499
2. Bracer adds a great Boost to Stats in comparison to Staff set, in my opinion
3. Maxed Heal Skill Potential , granting around 308 Heal Crit ( may vary a few points depending on face and ring)
5500
4. Less armor, and dodge; making attack tactics more defensive than Str mages
5. Over all I prefer the Wand and Bracer Set over the other L65 sets on my mage
Highest Mana Regen potential, with less Health Regen than Orlok mage
In my opinion high Mana Regen, and good timing on your Heal and Drain Life Skills can make up for the lower Armor, and Dodge.
In PVP I had the most success, against all classes, wearing L65 Lilith Wand and Bracer set.
Side Note: I feel that it is extremely beneficial for a Mage at maxed level to have their Buff Skills (Blessing of Might & Blessing of Vitality) maxed with 6 points.
