35 mages are bit complicated. Various builds there's many, nuke, kite, armor based, regen based. Pure int or int/dex.

I prefer start building own build by not using debuffs and frostbite, also rarely see voodoo with revive so forget that. Then based on your items you get build your skill build.

Items

Helm: ice mage cap, toad tiara, voodoo master helm
Weapon: brain freeze wand, frog wand, voodoo fire pin
Armor: brainfreeze robe, voodoo master robe, mamboza robe
Shield: brainfreeze eye, voodoo doll, dreamers/mamboza juice

Look stats of each items in ca and then make decision what sort of gear you (can) get, then think for what this gear fits best.

Rings are always last choose to finish your build to add stats where you want, dmg/armors/regen/hit/dodge.

I have a voodoo with revive. Its essential for 5 vs 5 FFA or 3 vs 3 / 5 vs 5 CTF.

True but rarely see voodoo with rev. Also ffa match isn't so popular at 35.

Actually, revive is only essential in FFA on a few maps in 3v3.. At least, I have never missed having revive in FFA on any 3v3 map. :d
But in 5v5 maps, yes.. Revive is very usefull. And yes, in CTF it can be useful, though in CTF, it's usually not very hard to tell who's going to win. The teams are never really even in this level range, so it's not really something to fret about. Meh, anyway, all I'm saying is, it's not really worth the 1-2 games a week you'll want it, vs the rest of the games you'll play where you don't want it. I personally would just throw any extra points I get into heal. ;P

Another cheap optional weapon Ive discovered is the Bony Fire Pin of Mastery. Also same stats as voodoo.

I prefer Bony Fire Pin of Mastery for my voodoo bird (more %dodge).
