Get ready for the new Battle Royale PvP mode in Arcane Legends! We'll be testing this mode during limited time windows this week so that Legends can get in on the action and we can monitor for bugs, balance, etc.The schedule is as follows:


Starting Thursday, May 28th
All times shown are UTC

OPEN 1400 - 1700
CLOSED 'til 2200hrs
OPEN 0600 - 0900
CLOSED 'til 1400hrs
OPEN 2200 - 0100
CLOSED 'til 0600 the following day



What is Battle Royale?



Up to ten (10) players enter the zone.
All players are teleported to random spots on a big open map after a brief start-up timer.
Free-for-all! Slay other characters for as long as you stay alive.
A shrinking 'death zone' keeps pushing players toward each other.
Your placement in the rankings is shown on the HUD when you die or when you win.
No-fault PVP (kills and deaths are not recorded).


All manner of gear and pets are allowed in this initial test.

We'll be assessing data and feedback from this initial test and will release final settings, rules, etc. at a later date.

How bout a 2-3weeks contest where players with the most kills overall gets a jewel and 50-500k? With top 1-5(1noble + 500k),6-15(1superb + 300k),16-30(1excellent + 150k), 31-50(1fortified + 50k)

How bout we start gearless, then we can find or loot weapon in the map. Also we can get the gears of dead players? That way this pvp mode will be beginner friendly(if that is your goal atleast). Also, I suggest recording the average K/D of the player, just to get some recognition XD.

it would be such a good system of trunks chest items that proper items, like we would start with nothing, just with vanity and along the map we would have to find trunks and each trunks had some specific items common to arcane heart_eyes you imagine to find an ebon or a skull in the first 1 chest? heart_eyes this emotion of game you know? and not go with the item itself as it would be more fair and fun, I think

Hello Futumsh, isn’t it a better idea to make everyone start with the same gears? So it remains balanced and by open chests throughout the whole map we will be able to find stronger or weaker gears. Is that an option?

Everything which is new and fresh are WELCOME - so this obviously!!!

I agree that kill/death count in this test period is not extremely important, but I am sure you will check which class will survive.
As for test we go with our normal gear/pet ... this is also OK for test.
...but for this mode if you wanna come "fun" back - we should arrive naked and loot (good) gear - which is lost when round ends.
A died player drops all his/her items - is also an OP idea!

For longer run - you could sell "in-Battle-Royale" vanity or better loot elix for plats.

You did not mention, but seems obvious that - like other PvP map - +- 1 level can go to the same map, etc.

Maybe there could an option (not making the entire mode like this so players who don't want don't have to) to pay a small entry fee in gold, and top half of players get chests with increasingly better loot up to 1st?

This way newer players can catch up quicker. Please let the gear drop by locks and be available to as many players as possible. People that want Vs and tdm have them already. If you give a more inexperienced player base a fun pvp mode then it would make the game much more fun and hopefully also generate money for sts from this new pvp implementation, which would be very well deserved.

Few Ideas.

1) Gears drop from chests

2) Random houses with boss inside, kill to loot gears

3) Killing players/bosses give EXP, allowing you to unlock abilities.

If current equipments are allowed, this will become unappealing to many players. Those playing for years will always win, leaving new players out of the excitement.

Only reason Pvp is dead can be simplified as Gears > Skill.

If your goal is to attract everyone to this mode, aswell as to other gamemodes planned, then it is best to eradicate this Gear > Skill situation. Otherwise the billionaires would definitely love this mode.

Not true - this uses pvp level bracket matching. Also, lower levels get to level up, endgame does not. =P

There are problems with endgame pvp lower levels don’t want to face such as overpriced items and proc based fights. But from what I’m seeing you guys are working on some sort of honor gear system in which I would be happy to level up to 76

Looking at the specs, the only real issue that will come out of this in the end will be the 15sec long warriors Juggernaut skill, the horn of renew 2sec invulnerability and the ability to make the both these skills cool down extremely quickly (heroic churro haste, ebon armor haste and Juggernaut mastery).

Almost the same can be said for mages in terms of invulnerability and damage reduction.

The free usage of gears again segregates players on rich and poor.
So again only the rich and op will win but, as u said it's a test ,I hope strongly there's a change in the concept of bringing equal gears.

I'm sure you know why pvp was very active in early AL as the main reason was the entry into pvp did not require a huge investment, just a couple of items(no awakes), one pet, any one para for good.

Now it's too much of an investment into pvp that's why not many one CAN come here even of they tried.
But we want to enjoy pvp on equal terms.
This is not doing your paying players a bad deed.its just pvp and shouldn't be giving handicaps in a pvp zone.thats just my opinion.

Some people make fun of you if you have negative kdr and call you noob. Some guilds won't accept you if you have negative kdr. There are some toxic players in pvp which discourages other players to touch pvp ever again.

Battle Royale is a skill based game, how will this be applied in game when people will have gear/pet/jewels advantages.
