Hey guys,
The new thing catching on is DragCave.net It is a website that lets you do basically everything DragonVale does, but it's funner. I am breeding some Royal blues soon and if you need one, hit me up for a trade >:)
What is Dragon Cave?
Dragon Cave is a free adoptables site. The premise of DC is that you are a dragon trainer with a seemingly unlimited lifespan who collects dragon eggs and raises them to become adults.
Like many adoptables sites, the dragons are represented by graphics and are not actual living organisms, or even simulations. These graphics consist of sprites: small pixelated images-that "grow" on your scroll (the scroll being a list attributed to your personal account, consisting of your dragons and their statistics). Based on time, clicks, and views, the dragon will hatch and grow into an adult. If certain requirements are not met (x amount of clicks/views) within a set time period, the egg or hatchling will die.
There are many different breeds, or types, of dragons, and collectors are free to collect based on their own preferences. This can include single-breed scrolls, scrolls consisting only of rares or of their favorite breed(s), frozen hatchling "armies" (hordes of hatchlings that will never reach adulthood), or simply users trying to collect all breeds. Several dragons are secret or discontinued (see Dragon Types for more information), making the game much more interesting for users looking for "complete sets."
"Catching" Dragons
Players must also catch their own dragons by clicking on available dragon eggs, either from the main cave (index page) or the abandoned page. Eggs obtained from the front page (or "cave") are caveborn; these have no lineage, having come into existence mysteriously. The abandoned page (AP, as it is known to DC users) contains eggs that others have given up in some way. These may or may not have lineage, but it is far more likely to find dragons with parents or even large family lines in the AP.
"Trading" Dragons
Since June 10, 2011, Magi Dragons have the Breed Specific Action Teleport, allowing for two-way trading or one-way transfering of up to four eggs/unfrozen hatchlings, effectively replacing Abandoned Page trading. Teleport has a two days cooldown.
Here are some great websites:
Sites to get egg views:

Site to find out which eggs are rare or not:

And here is my account:

Thanks all, and I will constantly update this thread with information and suches. Remember to try and keep all threads/posts about DragCave here in this thread to avoid clutter.
Thanks!
-Feb 6 - I got Golden Wynvern!
-Feb 8 - Zaltiar made a guide on how to put dragons in sigs:
To add 'dragon eggs' to your signature, there are 3 simple ways.
Since a signature cannot contain more than one picture, it gets difficult deciding whether you want to keep your signature or add in dragon eggs (they have their 'images' with links). Also, your signature cannot contain more than 400characters, this limits the no. of eggs you can link to.
**to shorten your egg link, (which can be obtained from your 'scroll'-> click on your egg and copy the url.) Go to tinyurl.com and paste in your link, you can edit the name there was wel**
For example.) I can shorten my egg link to http://tinyurl.com/eggname
1. Link SIGPIC (signature picture to egg link)
To do this, first you need to have your signature. Go to settings>Signature and you should see your 'SIGPIC'
Simply highlight your sigpic from header to end ( to and click the 'link icon button' in the text box which looks like an image of the earth.
Paste in your URL and now every time someone clicks your signature picture, they should be forwarded in a new web tab to
your egg. You can only do this for one egg. An example of ththis would be my sig pic
2. Link words to egg
Similar to the first step. In this case, you are highlighting the 'word' that you want linked.
E.g) highlight 'eggname', click the link button and paste in your URL. You can do this for a number of eggs,
But there is a limit of 400 characters.
3. Link smilies to eggs
Like the ones tthat I have on my signature, smilies can be a fun way to link to your eggs
Since they are not 'images' you can put a number of them into your sigs.
E.g) highlight '' (or click on Smiley button and pick one), click the link button and paste in URL.
Added my sig guide:
Here is how I added my Dragon to my signature:
