I think only silknight in DF1 drops level 10 items. The way things scale now depends on your level but it's the lowest level that boss drops. I don't think king of bling drops anything lower than 14.

I could be wrong though. Drew will be around shortly to set us straight. haha.

Minimum drop level in DF3 is 12
etc.

A lot of campaigns follow this pattern. I beleive it's supposed to be like this all the way through AO2, inclusive.

As far as I know, this is the way it always has been. I remember when I was first farming DF1 for L10 pink armors about a year ago that this was the case. When we saw that DF2 dropped minimum L11 and DF3 dropped minimum L12, we deduced that the L10 pink armors could only drop from L10, no matter what.

I haven't tested all of the mash-up / boss brawl type maps, ie maps that aren't part of the "continue to next level" line or are cross-level maps. But most of those maps will basically drop max level loot, which I don't typically have an interest in getting (except for Boss Brawl in swamps -- Voodoo gear is still Voodoo gear!).

Not sure but I think it was your party group. It must've had high lvls to make you have a lvl 14 crossbow.

No, there's a drop range in each map. I'm not sure what they are but let's say the drop range in DF1 is 10-14. You have to have a level 11 or less to get the level 10 drop, if you are levels 12 or 13 you will receive a level 12 drop, if you are levels 14-66 you will receive a level 14 drop. It's the same as in sandstone shadow caves. The bosses there drop levels 21, 22, and 25. You have to be level 22 or less to get the level 21, if you're level 23 or 24 you will get a level 23 drop, if you're levels 25-66 you get a level 25 drop.

Oh, and it depends on you're own level now, not the level of your party members (like it was before).
