ive been goin through all his lists and i dont think he gets anywhere near enough credit...
Yanis who spent all his time listing every pink in the game up to nuris... i think he deserves a lot more credit then he gets and is very unappreciated... im not sure what we can do but i think something needs to be done to remember him, ive gone through all his lists and thanked them and i think you guys should to

Why do we care about how many thanks we get? Why not do something to help for the sake of doing something to help, not for someone to click a button so you can look "cool"?
Btw anyone know what happened to yanis?

Its always nice to get thanked, but I agree with Lowly. It doesn't matter to me either.
As far as Yanis is concerned I read alot of his work and thanked him and I know for a fact many others did as well.
Its a shame he is gone. Maybe one day he will return. I didn't know him personally, but he seemed like a great person
to do all of that work to help others.

Yanis did get rewards, a one and only shield, GoA and I think maybe AoA! I do think he maybe need more of a better reward though! Like WE said, Yanis isn't around the community anymore.

Why do we care about the thanks feature? Its a number on a screen. For some, it represents them. For smart people, it's a number on a screen. Yanis is awesome. 'Nuff said. You shouldn't be making threads with the intention of getting "thanks". You make that thanks number mean what it does. If you want to be proud of it, go ahead. It doesn't have to represent you as a person. My advice, don't even bother with your thanks bar. Focus on thanking good posts.

There are many old players who have left before the 'thanks' system got implemented, Physiologic and Yanis both were amazing individuals, they didn't need to see our 'thanks' to know they were appreciated

They made Yanis a Guardian as a way to thank him. He might even be a Chronicler, not sure. He was one of the richest players in the game in his day.

Yanis was the one to suggest the Crown of Persistence, wasn't he? In a way (even though it doesn't bear his name like the Doom items have their creator's name) that's his item because (do I remember this right?) he was granted one when it was created :biggrin: but another memorial...hmm ;)

Yanis and Royce both have become inactive/quit.
I THINK Royce quit because he got bored.
I know Yanis also quit because he lost interest but mainly because he didn't have enough time in real life to play PL.
There is no need for a tribute.
If you ask anyone to name a legend, you will hear Royce/Yanis/etc.
Everyone who has been here long enough will remember them if they remember some of the old trolls.

You know how many thanks yanis got already? All items? Really old news there is no point yanis already got congratulated in the thread yanis was announced in. Drop it yanis doesn't really exist in sts anymore.

I think everyone will be forever grateful to him & as a token from STS he received the PL shield vanity & all of us are fans of him... This whole being thanked fad is pointless (atleast to me) I'd rather be remembered for helping the community or a cool post rather then the guy with alot of thanks....
