I want to start pvp

Hey all, I want to start pvp and need some tips.
What level should I start at to learn? I want to start somewhere that's not dominated by a certain class (like bow bears at low levels or crafted wand mages at end game), somewhere that is pretty balanced. I have a level 25 mage who has alchemist robes, toyman wand (purple), haunted doll and the plat cap and a level 30 bird who is a iceberg warbird right now but can go back to full dex. Would either of these be good? If not I can make another toon.

I just have the free pvp maps right now, are they enough? If not, which ones are the best to purchase? Also, if I'm level 30 for instance, what level range of opponents should I face? Is there an unwritten rule that says you should be with in 2 levels of each other?

In summary, i don't know anything about it and could use some help. Even if you think it's common knowledge, haha.

For pvp I would say max PKing or atleast from LVL 50 is the bet place to learn! The games you join our 5 level increments so you could fight somebody up to 10 LVLs higher as for your 26... And your 30... Both of those are fine however just be prepared to lose a lot at the beginning

For the most balanced, I would say 30 PvP, if it is just 30's. But there will most likely be 35 voodoo mages around. In 30 you really can't go wrong with any character. I would say it's pretty cheap too, the Frozen Nightmares stuff go for 10-15k a piece, pretty cheap for twink gear. You need a good build though, but there are tons of builds around now. Good luck!

I'd start off at level 55 and try crafted sewer sets... Ask people about the basics... Don't be marked as a rusher XD!

also if you want to start of somewhere where pvp is balanced, dont do 35 cos to be a good bear you need a lot of experience to good other wise mages will walk all over you.

also birds at that lvl good ones can take down a voodoo but its not easy to do so...

30 is the most balanced cos each char is good in its own way

Lvl. 30 WARBIRD FTW!

(I'm kidding. In my opinion, 25,45, and 50 are good balanced places. It is almost impossible to have a nondominant class in a bracket. Balance is very rare. There will always be a new bully that comes along once you become the bully.)

My first pvp twink was a L10 dex bear. Then I leveled to 11, then 12 :) I had tons of fun playing L12 pvp.
