Elite awakening gems

When buying the 10x gem pack from the store (legendary pack) it put the individual ones in inventory. Is this something new? Because a while ago it wasn't like this.

Yes. The kits with 5 or 10 gems in them only existed in that form because stackable items were not supported when they went in. Only single gem kits are now sold.
