Happens to me a lot
Happens all the time! Not only bosses drop loots, so if you just so happened to kill an enemy, then you will sometimes get loots. Also, I have gotten loots from chests too.

One of the bosses in fang drops just before he dies(the fat one) if this is what your taking about it's normal

possibly a bug maybe. i would throw a thread in tech issues forum about it and i bet JSL would have an answer for ya :p
