Brain freeze wand set lvl 30 and maybe with str helm lvl 25+
u should be pally combined with int for increased surviving time and nuke
6 drain
6 blessings
6 blessing
5 heal
3 firestorm
2 icefrost
1 mana shield

I would suggest be a int mage. Brainfreeze set.
6 BOM
6 BOV
1 Mana shield
5 Firestorm
3 Heal
1 Frostbite
3 Drain life
4 Lightning

My L30 mage imreallyabear is pretty decent, at least i think :)

Gear:
-Shivering talon
-Shivering wing
-Shivering leather
-L25-30 dex helm
-L20 dex attack ring (11 dmg 1 crit)
-vanity with +1armor

Combo:
I like to switch up my combos up a bit to confuse the person im 1v1ing
For example, ill use a kiting combo first, then a rushing combo second, then the kiting combo, then the kiting combo again.. and so on.

Kiting combo: Buffs, fire, ice, (run back), heal, (run up), magic shield, drain, ice, fire, lightning.
Rushing combo: Buffs, magic shield, drain, ice, fire, lightning...


(i know you asked for a battle mage. im guessing that means STR, but i think shivering is the best for this level mages)

For attributes, id do enough str for equips, 11 int, and the rest dex. 11 int gives you one more m/s.
