Not a day goes by in the forums that someone doesn't mention the now famous Pirate Booty event. :D As promised, this community fave has gotten a makeover and is ready for its debut! The NEW Pirate Booty event arrives this week. Here's how it works:

Find Cap'n Sinn. You'll find her hanging out by the event portal in Festerfang Outpost (as well as Windmoore, Paradise Pier and Vardan Valley).

The Cap'n will tell you all about how they need a lone brave soul to help guide some precious cargo safely ashore. Defend that cargo from an onslaught of greedy pirates, and you'll be rewarded with the currency as good as gold in the pirate world: Booty Bucks, which can be traded to Cap'n Sinn for--you guessed it--BOOTY.

She carries 4 different Pirate Booty Chests (tradeable), all which have a chance to drop ever increasing amounts of gold, up to 250k! The bigger the chest, the better the chance for MORE gold. And, of course, some event-appropriate pirate threads to strike fear into the hearts of would-be looters!

When you arrive on the boat, you'll notice 3 large crates on board. Your mission is to defend these crates at all cost. Enter the starting area when you're ready.

Good gold event for those low level players with low gold loot. For players with 300gl+ 4-7mins dm is 70k+gold. Lets say reworked booty is 1min/run and 5tokens per drop and the loot is "up to 250k" not worth it. I thought Occupy Windmoore event :3

The monsters do drop gold so gold loot will be useful. The monsters also drop tokens that are of different rarities - so luck will help you get higher token values.
When all the monsters are defeated and the boss is driven off the boat all of the surviving crates will award you with token loot (which is affected by luck).

Wonder if it has to do with last Pirate Event and certain players being fake afk until map was finished. Wish this could been at least a 2 player event. Solo gets boring fast. I also didn't mind Randoms( The people who actually played and didn't leech) last Pirate Event it made it more fun.

Yes. Entirely. The previous event was abused like this more than any other - so after quite a lot of consideration (and review of the data we have on event maps that require all players to enter before starting) I decided that the best move would be to make the event 'solo player.' We all know that going with a group can be tons more fun and I've figured in, best I can, how making this strictly solo will affect the overall event popularity and the resulting economic impact.

It can be very hard for poorly geared Legends with less powerful Pets. For lower levels you may need to reconsider your skill setup since you are the sole member of this 'skeleton crew.'

For every chest not destroyed, you get 1 point.
So no carrying like in other events. Even poor players have a chance because no energy is needed and no special item to get into special boss room.

its bot better make 2 option :
1.if u have a party until all members not join in the map and circle u cant start(and make it hard by party members level and numbers).
2.if u join in the map without party you will start alone (but 100% easier comper with party one so everyone can solo that).

yea thanks for that I just understand why the party can't come now last time I noticed some about using secondary or 3 alt in map and solo map that kind of players destroyed it too so with arcane set and some endless we can kill with gold loot set too what about ava set? :D that have very op state xD

i hope by this event and the next event will always be like this, fair event. Once again im not defending f2p players. I pay with platinum for opening locks, because i want to support lel. Why not simply, side event = go to Windmoore to interact with event NPC's??????

The main events have their own location but, side events, we have to go here and do this and that and check forums just to be clear about what's going on.....

The drop is insane! JK haha thanks for the event, the mobs are soft and the token drop is good. Much appreciated but hope we got some adjustments about gl.

This event goods for those new players, because even low lvl and legend gears can clear waves in 30 seconds.

We spent millions to get high gl to prepare for event, I hope we get some adjustments. I have 900gl and drops 3k per boss, hope atleast make it 2-3k drop per 100gl on your item. Example, 100gl = 3k means 900gl = 9x3 so drops 18k. I think this won't hurt that much.

This event needs a fix. Buff the gold drop from boss (since u make us gamble on chests for potential 5k gold). Buff enemy mobs + boss hp+ armor. Raise the minimum gold drop from vendor legendary event chests (should not see 5k gold from several attempts at event map).

This event is made for those people who don't have gold or much gold loot items so u can also benefit, since u said u don't have much gold.. And u know this event was a surprise one, it wasn't supposed to happen bcos of economic concerns.. You shud thank the Devs that they brought it back for us. You can still make a lot of gold from this event if you buy the booty chests with tokens and open them or sell them in auction. Infact they also increased the gold drop from boss. The events not to bad I think being able to do it in a party might help so it's not so boring. I am happy the event is not all about gold drop but would like to see something In place of that worth getting. Gold is not really why I run events I run for the items, vanities, house items, trophies, lb items or to just to run with friends. Considering there's only 1 vanity and it's one what's been recoloured from a huge amount of pirate costumes in game now. It's not worth getting to me unless it has a special effect bound to it when you put on set maybe something like summons a octopus emote or emote of you digging up treasure something amazing like that would go down so well I'm sure. The vendor needs work it needs stuff added to it. Maybe the house fernature outher vanities and stuff in the token chests for a chance to loot that rather than 250k I mean i personally would much prefer looting some nice bound items than 2.5m let alone 250k thanks for reading.

I agree.. Also the new players are not leveled up neither they have good gears to run EVG or DM. So this event is perfect for them. Idk why people getting so greedy nowadays.. Someone have 900+ gl and they expect instant 1mil in 20 mins. DM and EVG are still there for the players who didn't like this event.. This event is all good except one thing that they should increase gold drop from the legendary chest.. It takes quite sometime to earn 200 tokens and getting below 60k is somewhat less I feel

This rework event is very good like this, there is way to make some nice gold(by selling booty chest) for anybody without creating crazy inflation and it also give alot of pve kills(very useful to those who want a certain amount of kills to join some guild for example),

Two things tho,

1- please make the black box at the end lot smaller and on top of screen maybe so we can see how much gold we have loot,

2- it would have been nice if we could go in the map with a pt of at least 1 friend

Instead of solo, why don't you make this event require players to form party to enter? If players don't have party then they will enter solo, but if party is formed then all party members can enter event zone together.
If someone fake afk, then the party leader can kick him/her. So it's up to the party leader wether to tolerate such behavior or not.

Uhm. Now the run looks like not worth because of the timer. It takes time not too much but slower then we can get medium golds and some tokens. Maybe make the mobs more squishy a lil bit and then increase the token drop rate and token on clear reward. Or MAYBE turn this booty as Gates like endless wave? Just leave the gold loot untouched but as I say increase token drop rate and make the legendary chest 20k as the lowest gold drop.

Are you a professional entitled crybaby? been seing you cry in almost every post related to booty. If you cant afford the item then go grind some more until you have enough that's what most players do. There are plenty ways to get rich, do gates/dm, merch, events. do u even realise that what U will be able to buy with that amount of gold ? did u never saw the item price in auc ? ok ,i accept that for level below 71 player they will be able to buy at most a mythic gear or legendary gear after the event but as soon as they will be at max level what they gonna do with those legendary gear at the endgame ? u must be saying there will be other event in upcoming days ..so this booty event is not a event ? event shld be beneficial to player who play them .. as per my opinion this is not at all beneficial nor enjoyable .we are already alone in this pandemic and running solo even in the game is just too much ..Lmao, you talk non sense. The point is if the are going to increase the gold drop, lowbie or poor players are at disadvantage bacause most of them doesn't have gold loot items or only had 50-100. So only richest who have 600+gold loot will be happy and enjoy that. You dont get my point, ;// pity you. Use your common senses. I love this game so I help other players, that is why this is very fair. Stop complaining cuz if u have 600+% of gold loot, then why not farm gates/DM instead hmm?? Stop being dumb and let people enjoy stuff that will happen once every year in the game. And also don't cry if its not like the booty last year because that was a mess. Lol. I see what sts did with this event, helping low income players at a real legitimate chance to grind, and get gold. I think the event should stay like this for them. And for the ship in a bottle i think it was a cute idea even if there wasn't a special animation. This rework event is very good like this, there is way to make some nice gold(by selling booty chest) for anybody without creating crazy inflation and it also give alot of pve kills(very useful to those who want a certain amount of kills to join some guild for example),

Two things tho,


1- please make the black box at the end lot smaller and on top of screen maybe so we can see how much gold we have loot,

2- it would have been nice if we could go in the map with a pt of at least 1 friend

I tried this on day one with my twink lvl20 n friend 76.

Tried to play event with my spirit axe lvl 31 Instead of dozer axe, and event was hard. Cant enjoy without proper max gears. Im pretty sure players without full gears are not comfortable, maybe the drops after all hard work is keeping them to play else its a big off. I personally feels to stay with dm.

Difficulty should be decreased for new/normal players.

+1 to concept of keeping gold in token chests.

+1 to decreasing box size to see loots n tokens.

Event not bad hmm maybe devs can make Cap'n Squall's (Common,Epic,Rare,Legendary) droppable from boss? That would also be a great idea instead increasing gold drops or aside only getting them from token vendor :)
