Anyone else play this game. I downloaded the app about 5 or so hours ago and have been playing nonstop. You basically raise dragons, breed them, etc to bring wizards and princesses to your floating island tourist attraction. You can decorate your island with many different items and build habitats for you different elemental dragons. If you have friends you can develope gems that are used to upgrade some buildings and to speed up the egg hatching, building, removing trees rocks etc., processes. It's HIGHLY addicting. It's like a FarmVille on steroids with dragons. Grab it in the apple app store!

Aw :/ on a brighter note, finally got my love dragon egg :D 5 hrs to incubate :( my plant booster finally finished and my earth booster is 2 mins away from finishing. My ice dragon is finally almost done in the colluseum :D

I tried poison and lightning and failed like 2-3 times and got the lightning bug looking one, and two scorches. I did flower and lightening and got it the first try. It's rare apparently, so I just got lucky

That's the case for the earth dragons. Their eggs take a ridiculous amount of incubating :( the only combo worth getting is the quake dragon (earth/lightning). They generate a lot more gold per minute. Mine hatched about an hour ago :)

I have no clue what the purpose was but it has a list and name of all the eggs. I found out my first breeding combo :) Turned out to be a lava dragon! I guess its not much but its a start :)

Its called the epic breeding island. It'll be in the island category in the market when you hit level 13. It costs 125 gems.
It allows you to breed two pairs of dragons at once, three along with the breeding cave. It's only good if you're going after the rare dragons (sun/moon/rainbow) and the holiday dragons currently only the heart (valentines day) and panlong (Chinese new years) dragons.

I suggest trying Panlong first (it's only available this year, but it's rare. Best combo is Mud and Blazing, or Fog and Lava.) Then go for a Rainbow - they make tons of money really fast, and their habitat can store loads of money. Then Moon, cos IMO it's cooler, then Sun :smile:

Haven't unlocked water and air eggs yet to attempt it :/. The dragon should be available until 2013 though, so no real rush. I got my heart Dragon already So with a second ill be content :) I think I'm able to attempt moon dragons now, but I won't until I get the third egg nursery up with an epic breeding island set up

Bah, water and air...air you can get by breeding water and fire, so once you have water it's a breeze. I want a moon and sun dragon :dread: I guess I should be happy with two rainbows, but I'm insatiable. Two of each seasonal dragon's good because then you can still breed more when the breeding period's over!

Crystal dragons + blue fire (rare themselves), but fire + storm seems to have a high success rate for sun dragons, as well as Scorch + cold. Just refer to the wiki :) I don't make a single breeding/building move without referring to it first

It certainly helps, as far as I'm aware. I've got most dragons level 10, only my plant dragons aren't because their habitats store sooo little money!

Yeah, the incubation time is awful. It's annoying when a combo of two "pure" dragons can have an outcome of either of two hybrids, because Murphy's Theorem states that the first one will be the one you didn't want. Second love dragon=intelligent=more dragons of love when the month's over! I don't use the boosters, sadly...I don't get chance to check it often enough to make them worthwhile. The seasonal dragons you do need to make haste with, you're totally right there! I reckon there'll be an Easter dragon too! Bunny dragon with a chocolate egg on its tail, perhaps?

It's brutal. I have almost all my dragons at 7 so I'm not that far off. I'm a little more focused on getting more gold, so I'm breeding love dragons a lot and going for sun/moon dragons more than anything. I'm just hitting 500k finally.

If it's a 48 hour incubation time, it's a Rainbow, Sun or Moon. 36 hour=Panlong. Rest are all lower times :)

You'll get the money back fairly quickly lol. Remember there are rewards for completing the goals, so you really don't pay the full amount if it's a cash reward.

Make a Lv 2 fire habitat and work on getting it filled with Lv 7 dragons. Once you get lightning hybrids money comes in a lot faster. Save up for element boosters. Remember, you can always check your friends islands for ideas

Don't be silly! Red, it's a rare dragon, you have only a small chance of getting it. Keep breeding, say overnight, and when you get a 36-hour dragon you can post excitedly here and I will race over to your DragonVale to point and wave at it.

Don't be silly! Red, it's a rare dragon, you have only a small chance of getting it. Keep breeding, say overnight, and when you get a 36-hour dragon you can post excitedly here and I will race over to your DragonVale to point and wave at it.

A) Yes, Mountain Dragon is indeed fugly. It's a cute baby though, so y'know, I'm making it young again. If you have a spare 20 million after making loads of Gold Paths, I reckon you can waste some on making a few dragons more sprightly.
B) A second Fog...maybe. You only really need one of each dragon, except for seasonals (with two you can breed them together out of season), Rainbows (for the I-Have-Two-Rainbows, NyaNyaNyah award, like I have), Suns and Moons cause they're awesome...everything else, stick to one in my opinion. Unless youre using the Fountain of Youth on them, in which case I'll have one baby version and one adult one. Why do you need another Fog?
C) Hibernation Cave is expensive, and not worth it until you're earning a LOT of money (over a million per day). This game is your new life, Red :ghost: welcome to the club!

No worries :-) although if you do really like one type of dragon, shoot, go for two of them! I'm just saying
you might wanna work on the rares first, or the Panlong.
I am pretty sure you can breed two of the same seasonal together out of season for another one, so if you want to breed some go ahead, but I'll keep my Breeding Cave free. If I find you can't, you can say "I told you so!" :wink::tongue:

Those where there are two possible results when breeding two "pure" dragons - they're the worst, cos you'll always end up with loads of the dragon you didn't want!

Really? It's probable, I guess, but according to the Rainbow Dragon Breeding Chart on the DragonVale Wiki, Seaweed and Firefly's the way to go for Rainbow - worked for me after a few tries. I think Love+Cold could work, though...worth a try, definitely!

Yeah - I would try and get my Rainbows to level 20, but I don't think you can. No Rainbow shrine :tyrannosaurus:

Yes, they are rather expensive, and you still have to level 50 dragons to level 10 to activate them!
Regarding your park
1) I'd say you're wasting too much space. You have paths which are three thick. Group habitats together according to element, and use flags to indicate those groups. Check my park (I'm Zakalwe42) to see what I mean :rugby:
2) Your paths are slightly mix-and-match. I don't know whether the square of Brick Path is intentional, but I'm not sure I like it. I'd be tempted to save up until I could pave an entire island with one type of Path.
3) I have one island devoted to utility buildings, like the Colosseum, Fountain of Youth, Breeding Cave etc. that has Golden Path so I can distinguish it from my standard islands, which have Marble Path. My rares island has Golden Path too :vwub:
I'm sorry if that comes off as flamey/arrogant, I'm just trying to be concise :peach: feel free to take or leave my advice!

Decided to place my babies on their own island :) that's the fountain of youth being built. I'm still trying for another sun/moon and hopefully fill the island with them a bit. I was also thinking of buying more large earth habitats and mass breeding panlongs. Only problem is that it'll take 72 hours to hatch each one :( and at two eggs per hatching, I don't think it'd be worth it besides the baddass factor

If you can have up to two/three eggs in your nursery I think you should breed maybe one egg at a time leaving one slot for something else that might come along. They do look super cool :)

Your island of rares is awesome :vshock: As Ayc said, if you're that crazy about Panlongs then leave two slots in your three-slot nursery open at a time, and constantly fill the other with a Panlong.

4 tries in! If you have the gems to rush, do it. The highest wait time I've gotten with failed attempts was 9hrs (seaweed) and 5 tops for the other fails.

Levelling? Buy expensive decorations and sell them, if you have money to burn, and breed air dragons for massive profit :encouragement: use the profit to buy more expensive decorations, but it takes time.

The most successful combo is love and water. Idk if you got the love dragon when it was out though, but that combo got me my second LyD
