You've been pretty lucky with the gold drops if you consistently get 2K. The minimum gold that Squall drops has been increased with this update. It was a very small figure (I think it was actually 10 and now it's 100 minimum).

I guess another way to look at this is: if you got a maximum of 1K gold from Squall... after this update you also get a maximum of 1K gold from Squall.
If you got a minimum of 10 gold from Squall, after this update you'd get a minimum of 100 gold from Squall.

I looted 1.2k tbh with 600gl. Divide 1.2k by 600% gives me 200. Divide 200 by 10 because "x10 minimum" so that gives me 20. Thats the update and buff

I think it can be really good if just is 1 wave because i spent like 45 seconds per map for get around 5k-12k all time. In evg i can get minimun 8k and max 32k in 30seconds per wave. Just is an opinion and it will be really good for acelerate the farm ty.

Everything is explained pretty good tbh. Don't want to sound rude, but I highly suggest learning to read better. It clearly said "raising the minimum", that means the maximum wouldn't be touched, so your false hopes are because you read the news too fast. :P

1. chest drop are also not frequent .
2.just because of one simple little proc u have made it cost the vanity 150 plat ,nice business .

I think this includes players who run Dm/gates. Interested to the economic impact. If its about prices you can put price limit to stop inflation. Whats bad about giving good gold drop for a once a year event that promotes good gold drop? And boosting it in the last week of the event.

Yall know that this event is one of the most awaited event in Arlor! Updates that confuses your players will result to actions that they will not benefit from. For example this one "Increased the minimum gold that Cap'n Squall can drop (by 10X)!" Players are thinking that drop rate will increase so they spend a lot on items with GL, rush sales to make sure they are fully equipped when they run the event. And what they get is this? " Yeah but the minimum of 10 was changed to a minimum of 100 for each individual."

Just sayin, maybe make it clear and detailed next time.

Basic mind set on this game is to have lots of gold to keep up with the game, good gears for PVP and LB's. Without gold you cant achieve what you want to do in the game "unless ur rich and buy all the plats u need to get ur gears" easy right?

But ppl wont do that, even p2p players wont think that is a good idea.. so they farm hard to get what they want.

Just sad because my guildies bought rush gl from price manipulators because of the so-called x10 booty. It was a rip off and an opening for people who love to fool others. It’s such a terrible decision to not clear things. A simple “(maximum gold not affected)” would be very much appreciated rather than the minimum gold was only stated with a two-way implied statement.

First possible implied statement would be MAXIMUM GOLD IS AFFECTED then if a player thinks otherwise, they won’t invest in gl gear and owners of gl gear would price manipulate their gear due to demand (I’ve seen 19m 90gl accessories).

Second possible implied statement (which obviously happened) is the MAXIMUM GOLD “NOT” AFFECTED where my some of my guildies thought otherwise then found themselves buying gl gears for an event update that was thought to be “minimum and maximum gold affected”.

I hope you get my point. Yes, their trades can’t be reverted but their discerning power for your statements isn’t always right. I hope the updates have no holes for confusion to fit in. It’s just disappointing throwing 10m hard-earned gold away for gl gears for an event update statement which may or may not mean something good.

Sts should have nerfed the gl % zones where everyone farms very early on so something like this for events would never occur, gold loot has ruined the game completely imo. There was a time where players would have to grind and farm elites to get legendary drops to max their toons, and when arcanes were limited and very rare. Sts has introduced so many recoloured pets and weapons that are either set rarity or arcane that does not help the game in anyway. It’s arcane rarity for a reason not everyone should have it.

Do you guys not get that if you create massive amounts of gold, the gold you are earning will be devalued? Which in turn makes it super hard on newer player. You may earn 100million, but it would be worth 10mil if you just blow up the economy with unneeded fortunes.


Care about the game for a bit, this event is for the less fortunate that cannot easily run dm or gates(also must have gold loot items..ect). Maybe if the newer players or less geared people can earn at a higher rate than usual, while limiting the people with game breaking gears from destroying the market, they can gear up better and actually run these other areas of interest. Its not always about you and your bank account...

Also give props to Cinco for the blunt transparency, which only a few appreciate it seems. I respect 100% what you guys did to the event.

Sts won’t buff the event in terms of gold purely because that it will break the game. This is all sts fault, the can’t afford so much inflation because of already how messed up the economy is. I read your post, it said your guildies bought items on rushed prices, presumably expensive than normal. A little research doesn't hurt anybody, and like I said, no one forced your guildies to buy them, a little asking around to people could've saved them that trouble and saved them from the manipulators. But fake news spreads faster than wildfire, I'm guessing the people who bought rushed items are the same people who believe that a gold loot pet decreases the gold drop from a boss.

I think the gold loot is ok. The event is easy enough once you know the ropes.
I was sceptical at first but changed my mind in the last few days because I can if I want to.
I'm not wearing anything fancy . I'm not wearing anything fancy in the game either. Just legendary and my rusty old lep (hasn't been used in years).
Yep..gold loot suits me fine but there again I don't go to dm and vardan festooned with lucky charms and gl awakens, so this makes a nice change for me. I'm actually making enough for my needs all by myself and I've learned to enjoy it..every evening. 😏

Your experiments with the minimum gold drop is not the minimum set by dev, cinco mentioned the minimum is around 10gold, now it is 100 gold minimum. Perhaps after 1000 runs, u will get a few 100 gold or similarly at the higher end for say a few 3k. Running only 10 times, 100 times is not sufficient to get the actual minimum. You can trust cinco or experiment it the hard way.

Non rich players with low/no gold loot stays non rich while gold introduced to make them rich is taken by rich players with 400-900gl normally.. then these rich players pays And wants 10x gold for gear price
And non rich complains on forums for low drops and high prices of gears.

Higher the gold drop Higher the gap.

Maybe irrationally capping of gl after 400% On basis of total gl would help as Arc dragon ring and healing arc armor were capped. Or the ugly income tax formula.
