I hate vote polls because almost all the votes are:
1. A friend of someone.
2. An account made for voting, so people can let themself win.
3. Guild voters.
4. A real voter who vote for the best, this is, I guess, 20 % of all the votes...

Not the best one wins but the one with the most friends or most self-made accounts... I think the dev team should choose the best, or, only people with 100+ posts are allowed to vote (we still have the friend voters...). Who agrees?

Social media could, arguably, be the end all.

Social engineering ftw.

:-/ im gonna have to disagree on this one. I think the whole purpose of these contests is to bring more people/excitement to the forums.:) i get that you dont think its fair that the person with the most friends wins, but honestly there is no way to keep this from being the way things go. ;)

Sure there is, anything other than a community vote would work. It's a popularity contest simple as that.

Voting poles do seem a bit unfair... But what about other ones where you don't vote for someone?

If the dev would choose the winners it won't make any sence and not persons with most friends win but the people who play unfair

The dev team choose/people with 100+ posts.
